Terrible Bartender
by FHLAx18113 at Citysearch
Avoid going on Sunday's unless you want to deal with a bitch of a bartender on a power trip. Not worth going if you want to have a good time. If you do go avoid the bar and sit at one of the tables. Their wait staff isn't the greatest but it's still way better that the bartender
From class to no class!

I've been going to PH saloon on and off for the past 8 years and it seems that it has just gone down hill the past year. This place use to have some class a while ago with a more mature wait and bar staff but not any more. Saturday night, after we had raised money for doctors without borders for the Haiti fund, I had convinced by two friends to come and have a drink at the PH saloon. The place wasn't that crowded, maybe 8 people at the bar and 6 people at the tables. How odd I thought, Friday and Saturday nights PH saloon use to be fun and packed.
Anyway, we had just ordered our second round when we got interrupted by the blond bouncer (Ryan) who got on the bull horn and started yelling last call for alcohol get out now. Ryan was standing 4 feet away from me with the bull horn pointing at us. I turned around and told him to hush with the bullhorn. Next thing I know, Ryan goes into a steroid rage and gets in my face telling me I don't have a right to hush him. We tried to explain to him that I had a damaged ear drum from diving and that the noise from the bull horn was hurting my right ear. Perhaps we hurt his ego by letting him know that it's not normal to be yelling in a loud bull horn in an empty bar. This ego maniac bouncer than decided that he would confiscate my drink and 86 me. Really? Is this how customers get treated at Pineapple saloon? No wonder this place was dead on a Saturday night. I wonder how many other people have had this jerk get aggressive with them.
This place use to have charm and class with its wait staff and bartenders in tux shirts giving good service and treating the customers with dignity. However, much has changed and it's sad to say that now it's just another dive bar in the valley. If you like being treated like cattle and having a bouncer yelling orders at you with a bull horn than by all means this might be the place for you.

What a bar is supposed to be.

I have been popping into to PH on and off for the better part of 20 years. Its a great bar with exceptional food and nice people. It is safe and clean. Great place to watch the game. Trivia is a blast, you can always find a group of strays to team up with. Prices are fair and the drinks poured with enthusiasm. It looks like your dads bar but they can make your 22 year old girlfriends Pink Apple Champagn-tini if that is what you are into. Me, I like a good three finger pour of Jack. The wings are delicious and the popcorn is fresh and free.
Plenty of parking and if you drink just enough you can see faces on the walls in the bathroom. Pineapple Hill is the best kept secret in the Valley.
- Pros: Very comfortable place to chill
- Cons: Monsters !!!!

Great location, lots of chicks on the weekends, great mix of people/ages. Trivia Tuesdays rock! Tell Beau "Mountain Twig Eats Meat", he'll know what I mean.
- Pros: Trivia, $10 meals
- Cons: No Belgian Beers? WTF?
Cheap Drinks and an Unsafe Feeling
by valleykid09 at Citysearch
Well...where do I begin? My friends and I were actually having a great time, having a few inexpensive drinks and enjoying the atmosphere. However, things turned ugly. I was standing outside with a friend when all of a sudden two guys run out of the bar and one of them promptly socks the other in the face knocking him out cold. The bouncer, if you can call him that did nothing about it. The individual who socked the guy went back in and resumed his night after attempting to continue fighting the guy when he regained consciousness. If you like feeling unsafe then this is the place for you. I truly thought this place had great potential until this incident occured. I should have realized it was too good to be true being that it is in the Valley. Lets just say I am never going back there ever again.
- Pros: Cheap Drinks
- Cons: Safety Conerns
