Mediocre food

The order took about 20 minutes to come out and when I got it home it was wrong. I paid $14 for chicken and ribs and fries and beans and I got chicken, fries and mac'n'cheese.

I drove back there the half mile and they replaced my order. But when I finally sat down to eat it back at home (Moms BBQ was full of to-go order people sitting in all the chairs and tables so you couldn't eat in), frankly, it wasn't very good.

The 3 large ribs were fatty and chewy with lots of inedible parts and the chicken was dry and tasteless (aside from the soaking of BBQ sauce which was goopy and thin and sweet, like it was squirted out of a Sysco bottle). The fries were run of the mill, fine, as were the baked beans, but the lemonade was WAY sweet, like liquid concentrate.

Maybe I just had a chance bad experience there, but I can't say I recommend the place. I think Mom lost the secret recipe.

Always a favorite

They probably know me just by my phone order by now. The mac and cheese is the best in the city. The fried chicken is always good and so are the sweet potatoes. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Now I must admit, I've heard that the bbq ribs can be dry sometimes, but when i've tried them, it's been great. Get the menu and call first first, they take forever to serve the food. But they're always polite and the food is great!

Awesome food

the food is really good here, i have been to the other bar-b-que places in the valley and Moms is way better, the only drawback is the location, parking and the guys in front taking the orders are usually very unfriendly, they dont smile and basically just do their job, they dont go that extra mile to say hello or how are you doing? but thats ok, the kitchen staff is friendly and makes up for the front help.

but nevertheless, the foods awesome and the prices are reasonable
