Great Steaks. The fliet mignon is great, and not some tiny thing you have to lift the parsley to find. Everything else is bare bones. This is an old place with English club atmosphere (once-upon-a-time) and fireplace. Could be charming if they made a little effort. The salad is lettuce only, and DON'T get the bleu cheese dressing---nothing cheesy about it---just beige Miracle Whip that looked at some other dressing in a jar. UGH! Table was sticky in some places. Butter for the baked potato is MARGARINE. They have no wine list, only "house reds and whites." Dinner was served on a metal plate, which, to me, has the unpleasantness of fingernails on a chalkboard. If your only interest is a GREAT steak at a very reasonable price, this is the place to go.

Terrible. Hands down the worst meal I've had in years. A few years ago I used to go there and it was good but but it started going down hill. Not too long ago I gave it another try and it seemed to have come back, but last night was terrible and will never go back. My wife and I both got steak and lobster, not cheap, asked for med-rare and I got med-well and she got well. When she sent hers back we got dirty looks from the cook so I asked him what the problem was. He cut her steak open and showed me a quarter sized pink spot in the middle. Continuing to get dirty looks from the cook. When she got her new steak it was cold. We didn't eat them and they still charged us. Oh, and the bathroom urinal was over flowing, no joke.

The Most Inexpensive Steak You'll Have. I've been going to the Sherman Room for a few years now based on my brother's devotion to the place. It's been around for a long time and it looks it. The decor is outdated and the staff has been around a long time, but don't let that keep you away. The bartender is friendly and pours a mean drink. Dinner is centered around steak - no surprise here - lots of different cuts. Get the house salad; it's sort of a blue cheese and sort of something tangy - yummy! Mud pie for dessert is yummy too. The prices have started going up, but I think they're still below market.

This place is crowded on weekends. If you have to wait, find a seat in the bar and enjoy yourself.
