best pizza, nice family place, great italian food, really enjoy italian restaurant, love curbside service, rude waiter, love lido salad
Great Pizza CRAPPY Service. I love Lido's food... best pizza hands down... The waiter, on the other hand was just plain old rude. (He's looks like a taller Latino version of PeeWee Herman) I watched as the waiter hustled back and forth to surrounding tables being quite attentive... I mean checked on them every few minutes or so... walking right past our table to do so mind you. My family (party of 3) got little to no attention at all. I came to eat and enjoy. Treat my awesome child to an awesome meal. He TANKED the whole experience! I didn't want to think he was racist... but when you have a Latino couple (who also noticed our treatment & commented our situation) and a White family with a large group....(us in the middle) Who both received STELLAR SERVICE...kind of hard not to think of it. I asked for Tabasco (my one request) he said sure and walked away.... never came back in our direction until he returned to check on the tables besides us. I thought to myself, WOW... a real class act! Sad to see though. Hard to understand. I came to spend money... would have loved to get great service and give a great tip. Still trying to figure out if I am willing to spend $45-50 just to be treated like crap. Sad... real sad.
BLAST FROM MY PAST. Back in 1973 I was living in Van Nuys and made Lido Pizza a weekly stop for the meatball sandwich from heaven. I now live in Los Osos next to Morro Bay and was checking on line to see if Lido was still around. I am so glad to hear that they are still in business and based on the reviews I am reading here I am going to drive ther 4 hours south to have my meatball sandwich!
Excellent Service, Yummy Food. I took my son to eat here after it was suggested to us that we try it. So we went today for dinner and I must say, the place looks pretty hood, but it is really an awesome hole in the wall type place. The people working there are really friendly and the service is excellent! Our waitress was pretty awesome. =) We ordered the Ravioli & Spaghetti, some meatballs, the garlic bread, and a pepperoni and sausage pizza. The pizza was yummy and cheesy... the spaghetti was bomb! The ravioli was light, but tasty, the meatballs were well - meaty! LOL. And the garlic bread was pretty delicious. There were many different types of people there and the ambience is pretty relaxing. The prices are pretty decent too. I would definitely go back and would definitely recommend this place. (Already told my bro to go there!)
Great food, rude waiter. Well, we had a group of 12 people and maybe they don't like large groups at this restaurant. Everything went downhill when we asked for separate checks. The waiter's head about exploded. First, he said no, then said he'd do up to 4, which is what we wanted in the first place so we said great. He proceeded to shake his head and act put out and disgusted every time he had to turn the page on his order pad. Then the food came... delicious! I shared the eggplant parmesan and supreme pizza. Both were among the best I've had of those items anywhere. Then the check came... He had put 3 other orders on our check. Asked him to re-do it. Came back and our 3 orders totaled $120! I don't think so. He recalculated, came back... $94. When I told him it was still wrong. He rolled his eyes, said "No, here let me show you." (like I was some sort of idiot). Yes... please show me! Re- calculated (including the 18% tip he added on himself) "Oh. It's $63." Yes. A $30 discrepancy! Who's the idiot? He said "That's why I don't do separate checks." Oh. So you can calculate an order for 12 easier than an order for 3? Or do people not notice a $30 discrepancy on a larger bill? Too bad the waiter was so rude or it would have been a perfect dining experience even with the long waits. At least with a wait you know the food's coming out fresh!
Best Italian food!. The pizza is great best in town! Pasta with marinera sauce exceptional! Gelato delicious! La dolce vita... boun apettit!
Best food in town. We've been eating at Lido's for a very long time, it's the only place I'll order lasagna because it's so very close to the way my grandmother use to make it. Took all my new in-laws there one night for dinner along with a couple from England who were visiting & everybody loved it. The homemade pasta, the rolls, the pizza is just the best anywhere in this valley!
Best Linguini and Clam Sauce. We've been going to Lido's for over 30 years and we always have the Linguini and (white)Clam Sauce. It's the best in the States!
family tradition. my family has come here for years and has been in the pizza business. They know their stuff. Two thumbs up
Nice Place. The pizza is ok. It has ALOT of cheese! It is not the best pizza ever but it is pretty good. The Lido salad is the best! We LOVE that salad. It is highly recommended. It is a nice little sit down place. The service is not that good. We sat there for awhile before we were greeted and slow service inbetween. but overall it is a nice place and we might go back again.
good enough!!!. I love their pizza, consistent every time. went with co workers today.... always the same always good.
