THIS HOSPITAL HAS HAD A CURSE ON IT FOR MANY YEARS. I wholeheartedly believe this, in all seriousness. Not only did my cat get misdiagnosed here, but have had a few friends who've used this hospital. One whose cat came in for a shot, and left with a broken jaw! When I was there last, I had heard inappropriate yelling and cursing coming from the treatment room. That was my final time there, and actually took my cat and left in the middle of an exam.

If you must take your pet to an 24 hour care hospital, DO NOT go here! Use Studio City Emergency Animal Hospital on Ventura Blvd and Colfax, which is a bit more costly but very good, and is way more professional, have a much lower staff "turn-over" rate, are clean, and so much better and faster at diagnosing than Beverly Oaks. I've worked in the pet industry in the San Fernando Valley for over 20 years, along with rescuing animals and know most of the veterinary hospitals in the East Valley. Stay WELL AWAAAYY from Beverly Oaks, at all costs!!!

Whether you believe in curses or hauntings, or not. Perhaps Dr. Leach herself is the one who has a curse on her. Or maybe it's just plain VERY BAD JUDGEMENT when it comes to her skills, and hiring her staff. I can tell you though, that I've worked in the pet industry for over 20 years, and know of most of the veterinarians in L.A. And no one is nearly as BAD as this place. Vet techs and vet hospital staff "talk". And what they say about B.O. 'ain't good!! I guess if I were Dr. Leach, and had so many claims through the C.V.M.B. made against me, I'd really wonder if practicing veterinary medicine was something I was cut out for? Don't you think? If that many people hated one type of car, and it developed a very bad reputation for it's lack of safety, eventually, that car company would "go under" But what's in the "veterinarian's" mind is anyone's guess...

Cat Connection Affliated iwth. This is a review for Cat Connection, which is affiliated with Beverly Oaks Pet Resort. Approximately 11 years ago, I got a kitten from Cat Connection, because my old cat Ted died at the age of 18 years. I thought my other cat was lonely, so they gave me a cat that subsequently came home and bit a chunk out of my other cat's ear. I returned that cat, because obviously that wasn't going to work, and they gave me another cat. Shortly after that cat came to my house, he was diagnosed with neurotic behavior by the vet and given a sedative, because he was pulling the hair out of his tail. The medication seemed to work fine. However, for the better part of ten years, this cat urinated and defecated in the bathroom sink, in a shoe if it was left on the floor, and wherever he pleased. After numerous visits to the vet and purchasing additional larger cat boxes with and without lids, and literally having three cat boxes in my home at one time, purchasing a little $25 bottle of spray that was supposed to discourage this behavior, as well as switching to every brand of cat litter under the sun, it was determined his behavior was never going to change. Having undergone two open heart surgeries and breast cancer and the subsequent treatment for that, I tried...really tried to work with this cat. I loved him, and did care for him, but I was at my wit's end. After placing ads with Cat Connection and personal ads myself, I finally had to resort to returning him to Cat Connection. The person in charge at the time wrote me a lengthy two page letter indicating I was a horrible pet owner. She also made sure to tell the other employees at Cat Connection, and then recently, I found they had placed a posting using my full first and last name and stating that I did not care about the cat and returned him after ten years. They did not mention that I have two dogs and a cat who are well-adjusted happy pets. When I contacted the individual whose name appeared on the post, she denied she posted it, yet her name and a portion of her e-mail address was listed clearly on the post. Not every animal is suited for every home, and like people, some animals have emotional and other problems which are not as a result of the current owner. Who knows what happened to this little cat while with an owner prior to coming to my home. I really did the best I could, and I think that ten years of effort should not be so harshly judged by Cat Connection.

Animal Hospital. Today November 23, 2011, the day before Thanksgiving, I realized that I was very low on my cat's thyroid medication. My veterinarian is closed for a few days, so I sent my husband to our alternate vet, Beverly Oaks Animal Hospital with our cat's medication bottle. They REFUSED to give him a few pills to tie us over until next week when my vet comes back. My husband called me from his car and to tell what had just happened.

I could not believe it and thought that maybe my husband did not tell them that my cat is a patient there also and was just there one month ago when my cat got sick where she got a blood test which cost a fortune... and I told him to go back in and let me talk to someone there... So he did and I spoke with the office manager who confirmed what my husband told me. They would not do it!

She told me that because the cat did not get his thyroid blood test with them, they would not give us the pills! I told her that my cat has been on this medication for some time for a chronic condition. She responded by saying that hey were not a pharmacy! . I then asked her if they sold these pills to their patients, and she said yes we do . I cannot not believe that the veterinarians in that office would let my cat get sick rather than give us a few pills..They told my husband that it would be a liability risk!

I am not making a judgment here, I am just telling you all of you out there exactly what just happened to us in this vet's office and that from now on, we will take my business else were. An animal hospital who more worried about business than the animals is not a place I want to take my animals to!

THE WORST PET HOSPITAL IN THE WORLD. I TOOK MY TOY POODLE TO THIS HOSPITAL ON JULY 4TH, 2011, HE HAD THROWN UP AND HAD WATERY EYES, THE VET ON DUTY TOLD ME HE MAY HAVE EATEN THE WRONG THING AND PERSCRIBED FLAGYIL, I TOLD HER MY DOG DIDNT DO WELL WITH PILL FORM AND REQUESTED LIQUID AT WHICH TIME I WAS TOLD THEY DIDNT HAVE THAT, THE VET FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH MY DOGS EYES AND INFORMED ME THAT MY DOG HAD A HEART MURMOR, I WAS ALSO TOLD MY DOG WAS GIVEN A FULL BLOOD PANEL WHEN IN FACT THE ONLY BLOOD WORK DONE WAS WHAT THEY COULD TEST IN THE OFFICE, UPON TAKING MY DOG TO MY REGULAR VET SHORTLY AFTER MY VISIT THERE, MY DOG WAS GIVEN THE LIQUID FORM OF THE MEDICINE ALON WITH LIQUID PEPCID, AN EYE INFECTION WAS DIAGNOSED AND MEDICATION FOR THAT PERSCRIBED, EYES BETTER IN 2 DAYS, AND NO HE3ART MURMOR WAS DETECTED AFTER BEING TESTED BY 2 VETS IN MY REGULAR OFFICE. I HAD PAID FOR THE EMERGENCT BILL WITH BOTH MY DEBT CARD AND CASH, I RIGHT AWAY CALLED BEVERLY OAKS AND SPOKE WITH THEIR OFFICE MANAGER TO GET A FULL REFUND, THEY REFUSED, I PROMPLY PUT A STOP REVERSAL ON THE DEBT PORTION I PAID AND CHASE DETERMINED THAT THEY WOULD SIDE WITH ME AND REVERSE THEM RECEIVING ANY FUNDS FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT BASED ON A LETTER FROM MY REGULAR VET, THEY TOOK THE MONEY BACK FROM THEM, HOWEVER I DID PAY JUST OVER $200 CASH AND REQUESTED THAT BACK BUT THEY WOULD RATHER GO TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT WITH ME, THE DOCTOR THAT MY PET SAY IS CONVEINANTLY NO LONGER EMPLOYED THERE, WHICH BY THE WAY, THEY FLY THROUGH VETS AT ALARMING SPEEDS.I AM TAKING THEM TO COURT AND WILL POST THE COURT AND COURT DATE WHEN I HAVE IT. OH AND BY THE WAY, THE ONLY REASON I GAVE THEM 1 STAR IS BECAUSE I HAD TO TO PUBLISH THIS, THEY DESERVE NONE !!!

We love Dr. Waikart!!!. We were worried about our dog when we found a lump on his chest, Dr. Waikart urged us to get it checked out immediately. She took her time to explain everything to us in detail and with saintly patience. When our test came back saying that it was a tumor and needed to be removed we felt very comfortable leaving him in her hands because we knew how much she cared. She removed the tumor and gave us great TLC, including checking up on him afterward. Thank you Dr. Waikart and Beverly Oaks Animal Hospital for taking such good care of our baby!

Terrible experience. I would not recommend this facility. The staff was nice but my experience with the vets was terrible.

They were nice enough, but not knowledgeable. Took my dog there as she was having difficulty breathing, spent $2000.00 plus for tests to find out she had an enlarged heart. The vet gave us meds (for bronchitis) and said that was all he could do for her. After 4 months she got worse and I decided to get a 2nd opinion. Thank god I did. The new place gave her the right tests, heart medication and she is doing so much better. If I had not taken her there she would not have survived 6 months.

What a terrible place.

I would not have even given it one star but it is required.
