Brothers Oren and Hoy Hayun--who opened their first store in Hollywood--are in touch what the young masses want: Diesel, Miss Sixty, Fresh Hype, Levi's Premium Goods and other mid-range designer labels that are hip and fun, but basic enough to wear over and over again.

So I've been shopping at Planet Funk on and off for years, sometimes more than others. But... I recently went to a store, actually a couple stores, because I found so much stuff at the first store in sherman oaks that I had to go get the stuff they didn't have in my size at melrose, which was the only pain in the ars. Well worth it though. There's more cute stuff at this store than there ever was and the best part about it is the prices. I never used to be able to buy so much stuff at this store! I was always bummed by the prices, even when I did love stuff. But all of a sudden, amazing stuff at great prices, really. Sales people are generally cool and laid-back The best part about it is that I recently went back, which is why i'm finally writing a review, and found a bunch more killer stuff. I got this amazing biker jacket for like 50 bucks, a couple pairs of super cute skinny jeans (one pair was a Frankie B. that was on sale for like $80). I even got my LA tank there which all my friends are fighting over, it was like 20 bucks. Ya, I know, right! So, I gotta say, after a few recent visits to Planet Funk stores I am officially declaring this my favorite store once and for all. Pfunk, better not run out of my size again.

- Cons: parking can be a hastle, limited shopping hours

I've been to many of their locations. Salespeople generally really nice. I only buy my Frankie b jeans from Planet funk. they always have my size whereas other stores never do. Although please don't request that they transfer a size from a different store for you. It's not worth to 2 week wait, then when it comes in they forget to call you. Just drive there yourself. They don't pay the employees too well, so what do you expect? they also have a private label that's cheaper, but just so-so.
- Pros: lots of good brands, friendly staff, lots of locations
- Cons: bit pricey, private label so-so

I hadn't really noticed these stores around until recently and this one was great. I loved that it carried a variety of high end denim - diesel, seven, etc. - but that it wasn't an overwhelming stock of it. I didn't purchase anything but will visit this store again.
