Casa Vega Restaurant
May 03, 2013

Casa Vega will be keeping it traditional with drinkable cocktail specials like the Mi Casa es Su Casa, made with Casamigos Blanco tequila, basil, lime, agave nectar and grapefruit soda for $7.95; as well as Casamigos Margarita for $7.95, and $7 specials on reposado and blanco tequilas served straight up.

Dark ambiance, very fun. Cucumber margaritas are so good.

Dark and sometimes questionable, it's where you go for some over-the-top decor and a margarita. Always a celeb spotting at night, order the enchiladas.

Fabulouso!. Casa Vega is one of the greatest mexican food joints there is! When you first walk in you will think you have gone blind, but once your eyes adjust to the dark atmosphere, prepare for old world mexican charm and exquiste cuisine. The burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and enchiladas are plentiful and delicious! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The margaritas are phenomenal and you can eat a whole meal worth of chips and salsa.

Casa HELL YEEE-AHH!. Casa Vega has it all: The lighting, the food, the service, the margs....it's fantastic. The wait is always L-O-N-G, but those margaritas make up for it. After a few, you may even decide to skip dinner. Check out the guacamole w/ flour chips. YUMMMMMMMMMM!

Celebrity spotting. The food here is great and the atmosphere is happening. Servings are huge--try their burritos and they're quesadillas! You can wait at the bar before being seated. One thing to be aware of, make sure all of your party is here otherwise those extra seats may be whisked away by the service! Few celebrities have been spotted dining with friends, varying from Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, to newest hunk Josh Hartnett. It says something about the place if the stars can't keep away. It is possible to find parking on the street if you don't want to pay valet.

Just the right buzz.. Dark and a little cramped, but the margaritas are worth it! Not weak but not too strong. Great for afterwork relaxation.

Casa Average. I tried this place and afterwards tried to figure out why it is so popular. The food was not bad, but it was far from exceptional. After reviewing the posts, it appears many talk about the Margaritas more than the food. At any rate we feel CV is OK if you are in the area, but we would not consider going out of our way to eat here.

Love the Vega. I have been going to Casa Vega since junior high, and it seems to get better with age. Don't go there if you're starving, as you might have to wait over an hour for a table. Do go there if you are in the mood for Juan's amazing margaritas and some fun people watching. Nie times out of ten you will run into someone you know, or at least someone you WANT to know. The staff there is terrific - from management to busboys.

When you're hungry and thirsty. What do you do when it's late at night and you're in the mood to indulge? You slip into the very dim Casa Vega for a tart margarita and lip-smacking plate of nachos. A great place to go with friends or your Sweetie.

Romantic. Great food and drinks in a sexy romantic I don't want the world to see me atmosphere. When your eyes adjust to the dark look at who is at the table next to you, I bet you recognize them.

Great Margaritas!. The food is very good, but the margaritas are fantastic. On a Friday or Saturday night, you may have to wait an hour or more for a table, but the eclectic crowd is perfect for people watching, and the drinks will help make the time pass quickly. Parking can be difficult as well (try the lot across from the restaurant on Fulton), but worse case, there is valet.

If you're not that hungry, the Mexican Pizza (regular or Vegetarian) is a good bet.
