Best Mexican Food Ever
by Violet Segal at Citysearch
I love this place. They have the most mouth watering Mexican food - and it's all awesome! I have been a regular there for many years.
This restaurant is the real deal - totally authentic Mexican food, and it's always busy, because anyone who eats there always returns. The restaurant inside is very simple, with very few tables, but the service is always wonderful if you want to dine in. Most of the time, I order over the phone and either pick up or they will deliver locally for free.
I would highly recommend this place - you won't be disappointed.
The Real Deal
by Kika Davis 2 at Citysearch
Tony's is THE local place I go to for satisfying and affordable Mexican food. With burritos the size of your head, tacos with flavor coming out of each end... they do it and they do it right. True story: My Dad coached Tony' son, Tony Jr., in high school baseball, so they're more than just the Mexican place down the street - they're family. Love the food and the people, and I'll keep coming until they close their doors on me (please don't!).
The Perfect Dive
by GoldDust12 at Citysearch
Absolutely fabulous! I can't say enough... I was fairly skeptical, I mean, it really is a hole in wall place, and I only got a bean and cheese burrito- how great can that be? From the first bite, I was floored. The cheese (one white, one yellow) was gooey and flavorful, oozing through the beans, plus there was fresh pico and an absolutely beautiful avocado. And I paid less than $5 for that. Are you kidding me?
My friend got a chicken and cheese quesedilla and a steak taco (great, and cheap), and we shared an order of surprisingly varied fruit. A wonderful little joint; they have a new customer for life. :)
- Pros: Great food, price, really cool dive ambience
- Cons: Parking
Best Burritos in Town
by czechinla at Citysearch
Everytime someone comes into town and asks for a good burrito place, this is where I take them. It's a nicely hidden secret in Sherman Oaks. Only 6 booths and 3 tables, but you can always find a seat. Get the Fiesta or Santa Fe Burrito and make sure to ask for extra limes. They give you a free dessert which is UNBELIEVABLE (like yogurt with berries, but a secret blend they won't reveal). I can't believe this restaurant is not on the top burritos of LA chart. I've had a hell of a lot of burritos and this place is the bomb.
- Pros: Great Food, Great Price
Great Takeout
by lpfalzone at Citysearch
I have not eaten on the premises but my husband and I recommend this for mexican takeout. We had the chicken enchiladas (green sauce), beef burrito and beans and it was so fresh tasting! The tortillas were very soft and the salsa was perfect. I am so excited to try more on the menu.
- Pros: Taste, Price, Healthy
