Great place to bring the one you love. My wife and I love this place and always feel welcomed.

The food is delicious, the service perfect and setting classy and warm.

It is worth a visit and I’m sure you’ll return.

Fine dining Italian menu and ambience with the most inviting vibe anywhere.. My fiancee favors their daily specials with exotic soups (frequently pureed with no cream) and exquisitely light but flavorful fish dishes, often in white wine sauces as a nice break from the standard heavy Italian fare. I'm a creature of habit so I usually go for the Arrugua salad with goat cheese, pine nuts and sliced Bressaola (a dry prosciuotto) to start and the best Veal Milanese in town for my entree. The thing we both love is the staff: Peter and his crew have been there for years, they're like family. If I forget to call in advance on a weekend, they manage to get us in. We've had big celebrations as well as romantic dinners for two and we've never been let down. It's the perfect hybrid when you want a cut above but don't want to be stuffy.

Great Family Run Eatery. The service is outstanding. I dont think I have ever been attended too so well. I also showed up at 7pm on a Saturday night w/o a reservation. They were able to squeeze me in which was somewhat of a feat considering the size.

The food was great. Prices are reasonable. Dinner for two w/o drinks, including a salad, main and dessert was less than $100 out the door. I will certainly be back.

Great food and exceptional service. I travel to the area once a month and always go to Il Tiraisu for super. The service and the food are top notch. But most important the owners (son and father) are great hosts. They make you feel so comfortable and as an out of town visiter i feel like i am in my home town. A great selection of wines that are well knowen by the waiters. The overall experience is truly the way dining out should be. Look forward to my next visit.

World Class Cuisine. Having grown up in a little town on the east coast with close proximity to the world class restaurants of New York and Philadelphia, I am overjoyed over the fact that this jewel of a restaurant is in my Sherman Oaks neighborhood. There is an Italian word that perfectly describes the experience of dining at Il Tiramisu .... "Abbondanza!" It means abundance. Every aspect here is a treasure to appreciate and enjoy ... from the warm, intimate, inviting atmosphere to the impeccable service and award winning cuisine.

On my last outing, I enjoyed the 'special' salad of red beets and cherries with fontina cheese. The artichoke cakes, fresh ricotta cheese, with sweet red bell pepper puree are always a favorite, as is the Crespelle di Zucca (pasta rolls filled with butternut squash, ricotta cheese, with a sage cream sauce). This dish melts in your mouth. All of the pasta is home made and is a must try for first time diners.

Owner Peter Kastelan is attentive, congenial and always available to lend his expertise on the excellent wine list. I highly recommend Il Tiramisu on Ventura and Woodman. You can be guaranteed to be greeted with smiles, open arms and world class cuisine.

The personal touch of Italian in Sherman Oaks: I love it!. So you know, I don't write many reviews. But I can't resist sharing what I believe is a gem in Sherman Oaks. When I first went I was blown away by Il Tiramisu. Service ? A++. Atmosphere ? charming, personal, romantic, and warm. The owners greet you at the door and during our first visit they recommended a great bottle of wine to go with our meal. I had the phenomenal osso bucco. Falls off the bone, unbelievable! My wife and I have returned many times since our first visit last Summer. At this place the owner and his Father have an uncanny way of making everyone feel as though they are the most important guest. Literally. The waiters are highly attentive but we barely notice it at the same time. I almost never have to pick up my bottle of wine to refill my glass. And the wine selection is excellent, BTW. If you live in the Valley or find yourselves in Sherman Oaks, I highly recommend stopping into Il Tiramisu on Ventura and Woodman. I guarantee you?ll have a phenomenal experience. Plus, if you like Italian and the personal touch that seems to be missing these days, you should definitely try Il Tiramisu. Trust me, you?ll go back!!

Wonderful food and service!. Having dinner at IL Tiramisu during the holidays is always a special time. The decorations are festive, the atmosphere pleasant, and the staff in good spirits. But this is always the case, and not just during the Christmas/New Years crush. My family and I have eaten at this restaurant many times and always come back for the great Italian food, fair prices, and amazing staff! The other night, I wasn't sure what to order, but went with one of the specials the waiter recommended (Barramundi fish with wine reduction sauce). The fish was plenty large and quite filling. It came with zucchini that had seasoned breading upon it and roasted potatoes. I also went with the soup of the night, Minnestroni, and ended with their famous Tiramisu cake placed inside a chocolate cup. My girlfriend had the Penne Toscana (pasta with sun-dried tomatoes, brocolli, and bits of chicken), and had a house salad. She wants to come again to try another pasta dish as she loved her meal! The restaurant was plenty busy, but and the owner visited our table and others throughout the night, and the wait staff was very attentive and made for a wonderful dining experience. My girlfriend and I look forward to eating here again!

Overcharged me when I got takeout. I used to have my birthday party here. I had no problems until the manager overcharged me. I had brought up the issue. He told me I looked at the older menus. Is that my fault he still had them there? He got embarrassed & gave me the rest of change back. I said to myself that I would never come back here ever again. Coincidentally, my family & me went back for dinner. They told him that I never wanted to come back here. He understood why so he made up for it by giving one of my family friend member dessert on the house. This was not given to me but I did not care for it.

Wonderful Attentive Waiters but.... No wait time for a Tuesday night dinner, we where the second couple seated in the restaurant. We had the lentil soup which was okay and the ahi tuna appetizer which was "okay" it would of been better if the portion was larger and replacing the bitter red cabbage garnish with fresh basil or another vegetable. My husband had the penne with broccoli and grilled chicken. I had the special of the day which was fetuccini with porchini mushrooms. Both our pastas where not bad but bland, I asked the waiter for alfredo sauce which improved it somewhat. The tiramisu encased in a chocolate tulip cup @ Tiramisu Restaurant looked like a piece of art but it was the worst I ever had. Overall I would not recommend this place except for the wonderful sincere service by the attentive waiters..

Cordially,

I Andal, PA-C

Awesome food & great place!. The best Italian Food away from Italy! Try the ravioli with pink sauce and you can't go wrong! Also, the nightly specials they offer are always a good choice and you should venture off the regular menu and try them! I have eaten there several times and Peter & Ivo always treat me and guests like royality! Very pleasant atmosphere and always top-notch service and food. Good pricing. Excellent Food. Excellent Service. I highly recommend to all to eat there.
