Fancier than necessary, but still good eats.. A solid three and a half stars. This is not the kind of place you go for kanom krok or red fish curry wrapped in banana leaves (for that go to Wat Thai on the weekends). FOr an upscale Thai place, though, it's quite nice. Although they weren't very impressed with the few words of Thai I speak, our waitress was sweet and on top of the food. Especially memorable was the green beans with filet mignon. The (vietnamese) spring rolls were nice, the satay was good, and so was the fried rice. All in all, if you have waspy friends who are a little bit too fancy to take to Sunshine Restaurant, take them here, they'll get off on the coconut milk.

Good food, good atmosphere. Very nice, cozy restaurant. Good service and good food! Good place to take a date so you can talk. The restrooms are very, very small though.

Incredible Dining Experience, Utterly Delicious, and Romantic Atmosphere. This Sherman Oaks gem is a treat for your senses and will excite even the most picky of food snobs. The ambiance is particularly captivating with the rich aromas of sizzling garlic, marinaded meats, and fragrant floral arrangements, imparting an alluring impression from your first steps into this quaint contemporary Thai restaurant. The gourmet menu features some tantalizing appetizers and enticing main dishes. I highly recommend the beef satay, spicy pad thai, and the Thai iced tea. The inviting and quiet atmosphere is perfect for a dinner for two. Siam Cabin offers a charming dining experience and great cuisine for an exceptional value.

Two Thumbs Way up!!!. I cannot believe that I have been living in Sherman Oaks for two years before I discovered Siam Cabin. What a find! The penang curry is addictive, and so is the pad prik. And I could live of their vegetable spring rolls. I cannot say enough good things about their chefs. The food is as tasteful as the presentation. The waiter staff is friendly, attentive and efficient. Their take out service is also super fast.

Too Salty!!!!. Food is way too salty and the staff is less than attentive. Had to ask for a menu after having sat there for about 5 minutes. Slow to react in general. You'd be better off eating a can of Morton's salt.

Loved it!. Brought to Siam Cabin for dinner by a SoCal friend during the 1st night of my visit. I had the Pad Thai and she had some tofu in coconut milk stuff. Both of us thought our choices were outstanding. Our server was very attentive and courteous. The atmosphere was wonderful. It couldn't have been a better experience for me. My friend constantly gets the take-out. She adores this place. I really loved it too!

One of the best Thai places in the valley. I discovered Siam Cabin a couple years ago when i happened to drive down Ventura, i saw this small Thai place and thought i would try it. Ever since then i've been hooked! The food is delicious, i especially recommend the Pad Thai and the Chicken Red Curry - two of my favorite dishes. The Beef Mongolian is also a favorite. The restaurant itself has a very nice ambeince and the staff is very friendly. I try to dine there when i can because its always a pleasure, its quite and a great place for a date - but usually i order take out and they always get the orders right. This is one of the best Thai places to eat, dont miss out!

Modest Thai Restaurant. I thought I'd go check out this Thai restaurant since it had such a great previous review. I was looking for a place for catering for a party, so I thought I'd try their Pad Thai lunch special as a benchmark. Much to my disappoint, the Pad Thai lunch special consisted of white rice and a side of pad thai noodles. that's why it's only $3.99! the noodles were a nice ketchup red and the chicken was dry and overcooked. While I didn't try any of their other dishes, this one helped make my decision not to order other food there.

Best Kept Secret. This is the best Thai in the Valley. The owners are friendly, and they take pride in their business. Lunch specials are good and inexpensive, but we usually order from the main menu because our favorites are not on the lunch menu.

If you are particular about being served white meat, Siam Cabin will not diappoint!

RECOMMENDED: Chicken Panang, Spicy Noodle Beef, Shrimp or Chicken Prik King, Chicken in Red Curry and Pineapple Shrimp Curry.
