Florists >Mark's Garden
great customer service, beautiful flower arrangements, order wedding flowers, very helpful excellent staff, unique look, more expensive prices, rude sales manager
I ordered an arrangement to be delivered as a congratulatory gift. The flowers arrived very late in the evening - luckily we were staying in that night so were home when they arrived. It was a very nice arrangement of mostly roses, and they looked beautiful.
Sadly, after less than a day they were wilting, and within a few days I needed to tear off the brown leaves and pull out the flowers that were completely dead, leaving just the nearly dead ones in the arrangement.
On the same day these were delivered, we brought home flowers from Ralph's. Those from Ralph's, a week later, still look fresh-cut. The ones from Mark's Garden look awful.
I contacted Mark's to tell them how disappointed I was, and they were not the least bit concerned. They told me, "we say our flowers last about 4 days". Sounded pretty odd to me that they were so casual about their expensive flowers dying on their customers' tables in just a few days. Well, they didn't say that to me when I ordered (why would I ask when I expected them to be high quality), and if they had I wouldn't have wasted my money.
Will never order from them again, and am sharing my lousy experience with everyone I can.
Most gorgeous flowers. Gorgeous colors, unique arrangements, and pretty good service. Its very expensive
terrible customer service. My mother has been a long time and frequent customer for years. She suggested to me that I call to place multiple orders in December for Christmas. I had the worst time tracking down the status of my flowers. I constantly called throughout the day and could never receive a straight answer. A very rude and irritating employee, Mabelle(???) kept raising her voice which did not help at all because I was so frustrated. Not only did they arrive extremely late, they were left at the door in a location that the person I was sending it to couldn't even notice. The worst part was that they hadn't discovered the flowers until AFTER Christmas!!! Apparently the store was closed for weeks, I couldn't get a hold of anyone to help me. Don't bother ordering from here. You would probably be happier picking flowers at the park .
Hard working crew!!!. I was recently in Mark's Garden trying to order flowers for my sister birthday. Upon arriving I heard the phones ringing off the hooks and the designers completely swamped with what appeared to be a huge event. Yet I was so amazed at their great customer service and attentiveness. They made eye contact the minute I walked in and they signaled that I would be helped. I looked around at the beautiful display of flowers they had. Soon after one of the girls got off the phone she came right over even though there were othe people on hold. She was very polite and worked with me (as I know I am picky) with patience. The day of my sisters birthday I was so amazed at how exact the arrangement was made. I understand that half the time something is lost in translation since it goes from the sales person to the designer but they are absolutely amazing!!! I am so surprised to see bad reviews... I feel people should really put themselves in their shoes.
Mark's Garden has HORRIBLE Customer Service. I truly thought with the "reputation" they have that they would strive to take care of their customer's large and small alike. I was shocked at how heartless these people were. I guess they think since they are considered a celebrity florist that they can do what ever they want and call it customer satisfaction. I had the manager, Rita, tell me to, "get to the point" and Ben say to me, "we did what we were supposed to do" not once hearing an apology. They feel that leaving flowers on a call box without a courtesy call to the recipient or to the person that placed the order is appropriate. They think it is okay to call the next day and say, "oh by the way did you get your flowers?" Nobody seems to care that a call a day later might ruin a special occasion. I keep hearing, "well you did get the flowers, right?" Like I should be happy that they are even entertaining our order at all. I really thought that I might have had an isolated incident but I was wrong, everyone seems to be receiving bad service! I am not alone in feeling that Mark has no idea what his people are doing or he just doesn't care anymore. Well, the next time we order flowers or host a large event, we will be looking elsewhere. I wouldn't order flowers from them, even if they were the last flower shop on earth. I have never experienced such poor customer service. Mark's Garden better realize that word of mouth is just as powerful as being featured in the pages of some glitzy celebrity magazine. Wake up and smell the roses, Mark's Garden! You are not the only game in town and people talk. Taking care of your customers should be important to you and your employees. This is obviously not the case. If you are reading this, don't waste your time ordering flowers with Mark's Garden because after you place your order and they take your money it is all down hill from there. Their customer service is so poor that even if the arrangement is beautiful you will chuck it out of principal alone.
Poor customer service. They do not care..
Called them in August for a specific color type arrangement for a party centerpiece. I felt the person taking the instructions was not really listening. I called back 2 days before the party..told 2 times that they did not have time to speak with me to verify the correctness of order. Called back the day before the party and was told that "pink" had been written down. I had specifically requested bright colors..hot pink, yellow, teal. I was told that they would correct that. The flowers delivered the morning of the party were pale ivory roses with pale pink edges that were browning already.
Totally incorrect. I sent them back with the help of the delivery man after speaking with Mark's Garden about what I had originally ordered. Late in the afternoon, the correct color flowers were delivered in the same square glass type container. Which I might add...totally broke apart when I washed it after the flowers had died. I would not use them again because of the poor customer service and the first roses seemed very old. Also, they would not listen and seemed indifferent. Later I stopped at a flower shop called "garden of kisses" in Sherman oaks to compare quality and price. She is half the price of Mark's garden and her arrangements are absolutely gorgeous...i will use her next time.
Unique beautiful arrangements. Their arrangements are absolutely beautiful, not your every day flowers. Their flowers are perfect for any occasion if you're looking for an elegant and unique look.
They once were good....
Mark's garden was once a hot spot if one was out to impress a loved one:) Lately they have no soul. All the customer service that I once loved are gone. Replaced with people who have no clue what they are talking about. Sad but true this once great place is going down and getting ride of all there best sales people!
I wouldn't stop in because they have no time to tend to the " small customers".
Prices are reasonable if only the service was!!!
They lost it:(
Overpriced and overated. I recently ordered a bouquet for my girlfriend and the total nearly gave me a heart attack. On top of that, the flowers only lasted three days. I heard thru the grapevine that they lost a few of their top designers and it shows. Another friend of mine had their wedding supposedly designed by Mark and discovered that it is not he, but other designers that he delgates the design to do, and then he takes all the credit! Yesterday, i was recommended to visit a fairly new local florist, and sure enough, i recieved confirmation that Marks Garden is not Mark but the designers he hires, as this florist was his leading designer and the man who REALLY designed several celebrity weddings, including Gwen Stefanie and Kate Beckinsale. The name of the florist is Fleur De Liz on Riverside. Guess who is my new florist and party decorater!
Exquisite flower arrangements for those looking for more than a dozen roses..
No cute little bears with bows or Mylar balloons at this Valley florist. The prices are steep, but you'll get your money's worth. Whether it's a $100,000 wedding or a simple $50 bouquet, the creations are exquisite and always original. The specialty here is the romantic, Tuscan look--baskets overflowing with roses, miniature grape bunches and pears--and English garden florals, but there are plenty of other options.
