The Scene – With thatched umbrellas, photos of crashing waves, stuffed toucans and a soundtrack of twangy '60s surf-rock, it doesn't take a genius to figure out this chain's theme. Yep, it's beach, burgers and plenty of kitsch. The jovial atmosphere and service (not to mention a full-service bar) lures lunching business folk, beer-drinking college students and families with food-throwing toddlers. – – The Food – Like the decor, the menu is a no-brainer--sandwiches, salads, fries and burgers. Served in a basket with fork and knife, thick beef patties come grilled to…
Decent food. Expensive for what it is.

$9 for a quarter pound hamburger (no fries); $3 for fries (you have to order these separate); $2 to self-park. Burger and fries = $14. You're kidding, right? I ate at Island's yesterday for just the second, and last time. Why in the world would I pay $12 (exluding parking), for a quarter-pound burger and fries when I can go to a place like The Daily Grill, and get a much better half-pound burger and fries for $10? Island's is a joke. You can get similar food elsewhere for a much more reasonable price. I'm thinking Chili's for what, $7-$8? UPDATE: I don't know how Citysearch comes up with its average rating, but you if do the math on this place, it gets a 3.9, not almost a 5 as the rating indicates. I've noticed this on other reviews as well. Just something to take into consideration.
- Pros: Decent food, similar to a Chili's
- Cons: Expensive for what it is

My boyf and I visited Islands during the holidays last year. The burgers were rockin, the drinks were delish, and the service was awesome! Its a great location also. We definatley think of Islands whenever we want a top of the line Burger. I'd say they're better than In&Out, lol!
- Pros: excellent foods
- Cons: can't think of any
tacky but cool decor

I'm a creature of habit and always get the toucan, it's just the best -- chicken, pineapple, and teriyaki. Can be a long wait for food sometimes since this place is pretty popular.
