Ralphs Grocery Co. was founded in 1873 by George Albert Ralphs. Since then the chain has expanded throughout Southern California and in 1999 was acquired by the Ohio-based grocery giant Kroger Co. Ralphs offers a wide variety of items, ranging from fruits, vegetables and meats to dairy, fresh-baked goods, housewares, beer and wine, books, magazines and flowers. Most locations also have a pharmacy and photo lab.

Someone said that they have better shopping carts at a Vons store in LA - I disagree. The Shopping carts here are best. They are cleaner, more numerous and don't have that one wheel that drags - you know, that one that makes the squeaky noise and flips around and drags your cart off to one side. You know the one I'm talking about. That cart makes me soooo mad! Damn you cart! Damn you straight to hell!!!!!! oh, yeah - pardon me. Got off on a tangent there. And in conclusion, Ralphs carts are great. Thank you.
