great tritip sandwiches, good place, amazing tritip, good saturday barbecue, nice chang, favorite tri tip sandwich, wonderful holiday dinners
Neighborhood spot with good Saturday barbecue. the selection here is small but it's a nice chang to see a family owned market. i love that they do saturday barbecue. tri tip sandwich is my favorite. it's cheap too, i think under $5 still. they've got ribs and all that too. selection inside the store isn't the best. i don't think carry tofu even. they looked at me like i had two heads when i asked for hummus. but they are friendly and there's a nice deli in the back too if you want sliced meats or simple sandwiches.
Great tri tip Great Price. The trick is to go on a Saturday the have fresh BBQ Ribs Tri Tip and Chicken. Great meat at the butcher counter, thick prime cut steaks. A cut above the corner liquor store, this is a real neighborhood hood market. Great place a must check out if you live in Burbank.
Just look for the store that appears on fire.
Great selection of produce good and great prices on apples. On Saturday’s they BBQ tri tip ribs and chicken are cooked all day long. Just look for the store that appears on fire, from block away, because of all the smoke.
TIP: If you just want lunch on a Saturday do not stand in the line outside go in to the meat counter and order a tri tip sandwich it almost enough for two people and is only $5.99.
PERSONALITY. The meat is excellant, but very expensive. The employees in the front think the employees will keep on coming in!! Maybe if they were glad to see you, the wallet wouldn't hurt as much. Also is they were Mystery Shopped the employees would receive an A MINUS
A wonderful neighborhood market.
Family owned, wonderful produce, enough variety in groceries to keep you happy. Weekends, fresh baked cookies and a bar-b-que fragrance you can't resist. Tri-tip roasts, chicken or ribs - made your way - rare to well done, with or without sauce. Lovely to not cook on Saturday night. They also put together wonderful holiday dinners that can be picked up on Thanksgiving, etc. They are reasonably priced and you can enjoy your family/company instead of cooking all day!
If you want more choices in groceries than anyone could EVER use - go to the chain markets. If you want quality and good eats in your neighborhood then Handy Market is the place for you.
Editorial Review. Small independently owned Burbank institution local grocery store offers basic selection of produce, toiletries, wine and non-perishable goods; plus full butcher shop.
Independent Grocer. If you live or work in Burbank, this is a good place to shop. It's very much a neighborhood store. Family owned, you can expect fair prices and good service. The deli in the back makes great sandwiches at lunch, and it's also a good place to buy various meats and cheeses. On Saturdays in Summer, they have a barbeque outside where one can purchase delicious chicken and tri-tip sandwiches. The produce is of a better quality than most chain stores. The only drawback is that selection in other areas of the store is not nearly as large as a Vons, Ralphs or even Trader Joe's.
