Editorial Description for Tin Horn Flats

Western-themed restaurant/saloon serves traditional American fare to local families and sports fan inside and on the small back patio.

Insider Tips

Look Good

During football season, the bar supports the Chicago Bears, which makes it ideal for displaced Midwesterners. And any time the Bears score a touchdown, it's $.50 beers for everyone.

I grew up on the South Side of Chicago but I've also lived in Wrigleyville on the North Side, San Diego, Austin and now Los Angeles. I'm a drunk who's seen the inside of too many taverns in my life and I can say with certainty this bar doesn't cut it. I went there today on a whim because I heard it was a Chicago Bears bar. It ended up being a forgettable experience. The fans there were great. The few girls in attendance were all cute. Everyone was a die-hard Chicago bears fans. However, like myself and most Chicagoans; they're too drunk, fat and lazy to get off their asses to migrate some place better. The dive is packed top to bottom both inside and out yet there's only one bar. It's almost impossible to get a beer. I stood and the bar for 20 minutes and the bikini wearing bartendress acted as if I didn't exist. I left the place with the impression that Burbank is a dry town. When I walked into a bar at Northern Illinois in DeKalb with some friends the bartender(s) would start lining up the beers and shots. The TV had no sound and none of the dumbasses working there could fix it. I'm assuming the owner of this place doesn't have a business degee. I'd still like to watch the game with Bears fans; just not here. I wish they would come to their senses and pick some place else. There's plenty of establishments out there that would go out of there way to cater to such a large group.

Pros: Bears fans and down to earth women

Cons: The bar itself

I went to this bar for a friends birthday and let me tell you it was a big mistake. The bar is located in a seedy area in Burbank and its where a lot of Chicago Bears, Cubs, and White Sox fans go to watch games. I went up to the bar to get a beer and it took about 10 minutes to get a beer and I was the only person up at the bar. For what reason I dont know - the beer is kept in a freezer in the back of the restaurant near the restrooms. The bartender has to walk all the way to the back just to fetch a beer! My friends also were complaining about the long waits for drinks all day long and the bar was not even busy. I thought that ordering a mixed drink would be faster but that took even longer. The pouring is measured by a computer system and we were told we could not order liquor because the computer had crashed. Once it came back up 45 mins later the loud obnoxious blonde bartender took about 15 minutes to make all of our drinks because she had to unlock each bottle with a key to pour a drink. No i'm not kidding. What kind of bar owner puts limits on how fast the amount of liquor can be poured? If I was from Chicago I would be ashamed of this bar. Stay away from this dump, there are plenty of good bars in Burbank to get faded in.

Pros: They have a jukebox

Cons: lazy bartenders, slow bar system, dirty crowd
