how can anyone screw up a simple handroll??. I been here months ago and liked it. I just went today and I think they must had a change of ownership or something. I ordered 3 handrolls. OMG! I tried "spicy yellowtail" hand roll everywhere. Theirs is the WORST I had EVER had!! Gross! I end up not eating it and just ate the yellowtail. I probably will never go back ever again.

Great selection and amazing service. I recently moved to Burbank, and this was among my first dining experiences. After one visit, John and James (the Sushi chefs) knew me by name. When friends visited and we ate there, John and James remembered them after as well. They are constantly creating new rolls. I would highly recommend the ABC roll.

On my birthday, I visited Kuru Kuru and they made a special and unique roll just for me. This isn't a place I'd go if you are looking for an upscale dining experience, but for good fresh sushi and family style service at a reasonable price, I'd highly recommend it.

Also, I always sit at the sushi bar, so I can't comment on service at a regular table. I would imagine it's a similar experience.

If you're going to open a restaurant, make sure to understand English. We went there based on Citysearch's reviews. We were sat promptly but other people were helped first before us. They also screwed up on almost every order that we made. They also took away our food! My boyfriend ordered a tuna cut roll and I ordered a salmon skin hand roll and they brought out the cut roll but a tuna handroll. instead of leaving the cut roll, they took both of it away. They should have just gotten a separate plate to take the handroll away. And I kept on asking them to leave it, but they apparently don't understand ingrish. We also ordered tonkatsu and instead got katsu donburi. tonkatsu and katsu donburi are 2 separate things. The pork was pounded down so thin that I think we were eating battered air. I think that we didn't even get a whole loin, they pounded it so thin we got either a quarter or a half. We also didn't get any miso which it was supposed to be served it.

I am a self proclaimed foodie and this will not look good on my blog. I will give it one more shot and will bring a translator with me so they don't screw up again.

Great little place. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's one of the best sushi places around. The quality of the fish is amazing. Prices are comparable to Kabuki but the sushi is way better. Very friendly people, also.

User review by akasilver. food and service is good and the price is reasonable but it gets crowded sometimes and wait can get long. but their fish is fresh and it makes the wait worthwhile. by far the best sushi place in burbank.

The Best Sushi. This place is fabulous the fish is fresh and the sushi chefs are excellent the prices reasonable. I've been going here for 7 years now and nothing else compares, people have taken me to other places but nothing is as good. If you want great sushi at reasonable prices this would be my choice
