What People Are Saying About Sardo's

In Short – Lunchtime brings studio business to this Burbank strip-mall restaurant and bar, but after-work it's strictly a locals-only crowd. Strings of football flags and stained-glass lamps dangle above roomy booths, where fans catch major sporting events on seven TVs, including one large plasma screen. Playful karaoke singers make use of the state-of-the-art system, which features over 10,000 songs from ZZ Top to Tupac. Servers use down time to practice, meaning impromptu shows on slow Sunday nights.
Most HORRIBLE experience in my life
by newtocali01 at Citysearch
I moved to California in October. I used to do karaoke in my home state with a DJ and his wife for 5+ years, so I know how karaoke works and is supposed to be like. I went to Sardo's because a friend recommended it, saying it was fun and that is was a good time. Boy was she wrong! We (my boyfriend and I) got there about 8 pm because we wanted to order dinner. All but TWO booths and the barstools were reserved-they should've just shut down for the parties only. Well, we couldn't order food until 830-845ish. That's fine. So we ordered a diet coke and sprite. The people for the parties started coming in and had balloons-fine, whatever. All night all you heard was balloons popping (obviously the parties were for 12 year olds). The DJ couldn't keep a rotation right and was really RUDE!!!! A person got to sing TWICE before I did-and I can really sing! So I ask the waitress (who was the only good thing about this experience) for my tab. My tab was $90.00!!!! I thought maybe it was wrong, then I started reading the bill. For a 10 oz. (maybe, if even that) glass of Diet Coke I got charged $4 for every one of them! An alcoholic drink I ordered was the same price! This place is horrible-overpriced drinks, bad sound system (a couple with two regular sized speakers sounds better than Sardo's), over fire code for amount of people, just everything! I will NEVER return to Sardo's and I hope the SOB gets shut down for his bad, horrible, horrendous business practices!!!! He doesn't deserve to own a business!!!!
- Pros: Server was good.
- Cons: EXTREMELY over priced drinks, over fire code, bad sound system, horrible attitude from DJ
Sardo's has THE worst service
by perrykurtz at Citysearch
Aside from the owner being rude AND pushy, the waitresses can't take an order right, deliver it right, or within 25 minutes. The food is under cooked, short in supply, and takes 30 minutes. When you ask for a check, that's another 30 minutes. And that is on Family Night. Even my 4 year old asked why the old guy was so mean.
Don't waste your time, money, or voice.
- Pros: Good music list
- Cons: HORRIBLE Service!
No go for Karaoke at Sardo's
by Capture2008 at Citysearch
We decided to give Sardo's a shot since we love to karaoke and Sardo's was not the place to be. The karaoke was super loud and at times we could not understand what was being sung. We were there from 10pm until close to 1am and did not get to sing one song! the DJ did a poor job mixing the requests and I should also add that the drinks did not have any liquor in them and they were pretty expensive. The waitress was not the friendliest- just the whole experience from waiting to sing one song, to the drinks being watered down to the service, not a go for these karaoke singers.
- Pros: Parking
- Cons: the whole experience
