good mexican food, favorite restaurant, polite service, great bunch, love viva fresh, best fajitas, decent margaritas

Fittingly located next to the Equestrian Center, Viva is a fun venue to see live Rockabilly music. They also serve giant margaritas and Mexican food. The combos are the best deal. Request the spicy salsa on the side.
Great Mexican Food, Great for horse lovers. I love Viva Fresh and go there often. The food is great and the service is polite and fast. Although they seem to have problems getting special orders correct. With providing extras they may need to be reminded to bring them. I also like going and listing to the music the house band is a great bunch of players but sometimes a little loud in the main room. My wife loves to go and sit in the back room to watch the horses. Viva is one of my favorite restaurants but is small and old so it is more of a local haunt. I encourage you to go and enjoy a margarita and some fajitas.
Awesome burritos!. I've been here a few times as it's down the street from my work and fell in love with their wet chicken burritos, enchilado style! They're huge and $6. The service is pretty shoddy though and their tables in the middle dining room are miniscule. Their margaritas are decent if not overpriced at $12.
Great Group Hangout. I have been here quite a few times and my friends and I always insist on making this our party place. The drinks are great and the food is good, some nights there is live music. The patio area is great for socializing too. Its one of the best places if you need to accomodate more than 10 people and sit all together and for a fun time!
Not so Fresh.
This is a painful review to write. Viva Fresh used to be simply called Viva. It was a family owned restaurant operating in the same location since 1965. I used to go there every Friday night as a child. It wasn't the healthiest Mexican food, but what five year old cares about that. Ben was the greatest waiter and after dinner I could go look at the horses hitched up in back.
At first when Viva Fresh took over, things got better. They remodeled the restaurant and, though I missed the dark vibe it had before, I liked the live music area and the healthier additions to the menu.
Now, the food is terrible. I think they use chicken from a can. How anyone can screw up something as simple as a quesadilla I'll never know.
At least the margaritas are still OK.
