really good food, huge beanricecheese burrito, not crowded place, filling tostada, good service, good salsa, never bad meal
fresh, cheap and fast.
low end = taco bell, del taco
mid tier = baja fresh, la salsa
higher tier = poquito mas
The real high-end stuff is of course better...but poquito mas is definitely a cut above all the other semi-fast chains...although baja buds is quite good too
Delicious, Fast & Local!. I woke up lazy and didn't want to cook! I ordered the ahi tuna burrito, cheese quesadilla with chips/salsa and it was delicious! A 5 min drive.... the place was very clean too and not crowded. They made a small mistake with my order and gave me a chicken quesadilla but not a big deal I suppose. Still tasted great! I've seen lines usually filtering out the door so you definitely wanna make sure you call your order in or avoid busy lunch time!
Local fresh-Mex chain serves Baja-style food, with vegetarian and low-carb options..
The Scene
White-tiled tables and green plastic chairs fill the covered indoor-outdoor dining room. Half-walls allow in the breeze on sunny days, and plasticine curtains can be drawn to shut out rain. Worker bees and families flock here during the midday lunch rush and for inexpensive dinners. Counter service adds to the relaxed environment.
The Food
Priding themselves on the motto "we don't serve fast food, we serve fresh food as fast as we can," this quality taco stand is known for ample portions, freshly made tortillas, and burritos packed so full of prime ingredients there is usually no room for rice-and-bean fillers. The grilled carnitas quesadilla is stuffed with flavorful pork, Jack and cheddar cheese. Tender shrimp, guacamole and cheese fill the San Felipe burrito--topping any burrito with rich red mojado sauce turns it into an oversized enchilada. Meatless nature's grill dishes, like the crispy-shelled tostada, brim with a mix of zucchini, eggplant, mushrooms, peppers and onions.
Try it you'll love it. I've never had a bad meal @ this joint. The parking sucks but the food is really good. The Carne Asada is awesome. They also have rice and beans for $1.50 a decent size palte of it too. The tostada is REALLY filling as well as the burritos. Go it's worth a try.
Delicious Healthy Mexican!!.
long line, but worth the wait. this stuff is delicious. free soup on a rainy day, too. can't beat that!! i order the bean/rice/cheese burrito... it's not on the menu, but they'll make anything. my burrito is huge and it's only $4.95.
Definitely more pros than cons. Good salsa bar. Happy people working there. Located on a corner and easy to get to.
Yummy!. The food is very good. It is definitely a big step up from Taco Bell. If you are going for lunch, I suggest either going before noon or after 1pm. It gets pretty busy.
A lil bit more Po Keno Must.
Ate there today. Liked it. Its good stuff, try it!
Service was good, food was great what else is there?
can you bring the kids? Sure but that's not my problem (I have my own).
Plenty of seating, bathrooms very clean, music was okay and they had rootbeer.
