new management. This message is addressed to all those who had a negative experience at Topz toluca lake location. I am the new owner there, and understand where you guys are comming from, when we purchased the location from the previous owner it was filthy and it took us a week to clean it out. I do hope you come by and check out the job we have done. we are open to suggestions and critisism. We are trying make your experience at Topz as plesant as possible, its been hard because the name of the restaurant went to rock bottom with the previous owner. We are working on your satisfaction and would like to see you there. thank you

The Trifecta: Horrible Service, Filthy Restaurant, Bad Food. Visted this restaurant back in February and will never be back again.

Dinig room was filthy. Only 2 people in the restaurant, but couldn't find a clean table. It took forever to get my order in and to have it prepared, and when it came back, every single item in the order was wrong.

I don't get what's so healthy about it either, the onion rings are supposed to be baked, but they were clearly the greasiest fried things I've seen since I lived in Texas. The other reviewer is right about special orders: they're all too stoned or busy calling their friends from the backroom to do anything about it.

I emailed the corporate office and they forwarded it immediately to the franchisee. She didn't reply until over a month later and it was clear that the other reviewer had it exactly right that she's the problem. She hardly understood anything and was too busy running her travel agent business to give any attention to his sideline.

Never been back. Stay Away.

Good concept - Inconsistent management. I will probably not return to Topz again. I have eaten there twice. It is a strange place - says it is more healthy but I question that statement as the patty appeared to have as much fattiness as a normal griddle burger. The first time I ate there it was allright. I must have had a fair memory because I returned in late May of 2006. This time iit was crowded and the kitchen and staff were obviously overwhelmed. I felt sorry for them in that they were so sorely in need of management guidance and expertise. But it was a lousy meal served way too slow -a spoiled event. Other customers were upset also. It was a mess which I doubt happens to this degree frequently. The restaurant has good potential and is attractive - only the management must be very on board and knowledgeable, which it was not. Forget about a medium rare patty - unless you want to fight for it your request will be overlooked. Also, do not get your hopes up for a big order of onion rings. They count them - I believe you get seven, but they were tiny ones in my order so the plate looked like it was for munchkins. Enough for now. I hope they improve.

Good food, bad service. I have been to this TOPZ many times, and although the food is fairly good (the Aerofries are the best!)----the service is AWFUL! Everytime I have been there they have messed up my order somehow. I agree that the wait is long, so I phoned in my order a few times, and everytime it was not only not ready---but they hadn't even started making it yet. The manager seemed nice but the girls that worked there are clueless and could care less when you get your food. If I didn't like the food so much, I would never go back...but I am getting close.

Best Burger and Healthy Too. A friend just took me to Topz in Toluca lake. I'd love to drop her name but... Anyway the food at Topz is great, fresh and fast and healthy. She had the Ahi Tuna salad. And I had a 1/2 pound Black Angus buger w/ cheese. I loved it. Cooked to perfection with awhole wheat bun! Big and Juicy. Then you can add your own sauces so I put on some low cal. blue cheese. I was in heaven. We sat outside, very cool. She raves about the Ahi. I guess it's sushi quality.
