The Scene – You don't need Irish eyes to be smiling at this peppy and popular Toluca Lake version of "Cheers," where everyone not only knows your name, but your drink as well. This charming Emerald Isle pub is a favorite hang for "Tolucans" and industry types from the nearby film studios. The narrow, main room features an elongated bar, with TVs at every angle. A jukebox plays everything from Van Morrison to modern rock. Upstairs, there's an expansive dining area, which offers a full menu and a family-friendly vibe. –   – The Draw – The laid back, yet jovial…

Good place to be

by AnaBella71 at Citysearch

As a restaurant, this place deserves 3 stars max. But as a bar, this place deserves 5 stars.

When I went there the service was slow, and the food was average. But, the service was friendly and the drinks were plentiful.

I'll pass!

by hherbe01 at Citysearch

I came here for happy hour and the actual space is very small & limited, so good luck getting a seat/table. The food was greasy and heavy. The bartender wasn't really on top of it, I had an empty glass most of the time with out her checking back to see if I needed another. The crowd here was a little older as well I noticed. I live close & wont go back

  • Pros: Ambiance
  • Cons: service

Watered Down Beer

by bridget1100 at Citysearch

The draught beer was pretty much 50 % beer to 50 % water, including the Guinness. We went to this place last night, excited that there was an Irish pub nearby, to get some good beer and a burger. The service was pretty slow, and it was incredibly loud by about 8:30 with the crowd downstairs, but the waitress was really nice. Our main issue was that the beer was all basically pure water! First we ordered 2 Smithwicks, and when they came we thought either she had gotten our order wrong, or something was wrong with the tap. We asked the server to exchange them for two other beers, at which time we got a Guinness and a hefeweizen. We could literally see through the Guiness, which is an incredibly bad sign, and the hefeweizen tasted like the lemon that came with it. The waitress looked totally surprised when we told her that all three were pretty watery. We should have known to just stick to bottles after the Smithwicks. I mean, what's the point of an Irish pub if you can't get a decent beer on tap, especially Guinness!?

  • Pros: Friendly Staff
  • Cons: Water instead of Beer
