In Short
This casual SoCal burger joint inhabits a bright yellow Amtrak passenger car from the 1920s, and its white- and red-paneled walls sport old framed black-and-whites documenting its disco-era construction, plus historic photos of the area. Tee-shirted tourists and local die-hards order at the counter and grab napkins from a bathroom towel dispenser at the end of the line. Burgers and hotdogs are served in cardboard boxes, often drenched in chili and accompanied by lemonade in a paper cup.

Used to be a great place for burgers. Hot dogs are still okay but the last few times there the hamburger meat was paper thin and tasteless. Double cheeseburger came with one slice of cheese, I ask for another slice and they charged fifty cents more with a bad attitude to boot. The man that owned/managed(?) from a few years ago is not there. He built up a good business with good food and service. They must have sold the franchise and the new owners have gone on the cheap. I miss the place but will go elsewhere for a good hamburger.

Located in an old box car, this is a taste of true old Hollywood, where it used to be. The food is good and reasonable. If you work in the area, great place to grab lunch.
