Monday Madness. There is so much on the menu, you'll just want to order everything! My favorite is by far the carnitas burrito. The portions are big, so be prepared to take home leftovers or split something. Monday nights is a great time to go, its 30% off the food & they play 80's music. They of course will give you complimentary chips & salsa, but the salsa has been pretty heavy on the onion lately so I've skipped it, but the chips are home made & delish!

A GREAT FIND IN THE VALLEY!. THE OTHER EVENING WAS OUR FIRST VISIT TO MEXICALI AND WE REALLY ENJOYED OURSELVES. I STARTED WITH THE SANGRIA AND MY GIRLFRIEND HAD THE MARGATINI. BOTH FRESH AND VERY POTENT! THEY OFFER SPECIALS ON THERE MENU SO WE STARTED WITH THE GRILLED ARTICHOKE WITH A BELL PEPPER MAYO. GREAT. I HAD THE CALI CHICKEN AND SHRIMP AND MY GIRLFRIEND HAD THE POLLO VERDE. IT WAS A BURRITO WITH ROTISSERIE CHICKEN, SPINACH, GUYERE CHEESE AND TOMATILLO SALSA. BOTH VERY TASTY.

Good Times, Great Margaritas. I am new in town and a friend insisted that I try this restaurant she's been going to for years. At first, I was suspect, I am not a huge fan of Mexican food but everything looked so good. We came in during their happy hour and had to wait for a short period of time but it was worth it when I saw the happy hour menu. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas (yes, they offer Pitchers of Margarita's!!) and the nachos with chicken. The nachos were enough for the two of us and we could not even finish our pitcher. Imagine our surprise when the bill was under 25.00!!

A great night out. Last night I went out with a couple of friends from work and they took me to this mexican restaurant called Mexicali, we had a great time.

We went a little later in the night after the dinner crowd would have left and it was still pretty lively when we got there. We started out with a round of drinks (which led to a couple of more rounds) and then on to a late dinner. They had lots to choose from on the menu, I had one of their specials...a naked enchilada...and it was really good.

We were there probably 2 hours or so and had a great time. The food and drinks were great (and after 11 we got their late night happy hour prices on drinks) and our waiter was fun. For a great night out with friends I fully recommend this place and will be coming back soon.

Great Value, Great Food, Happy Hour. I have been here before, but not since they revised the Happy Hour menu, what a deal margs for $4.95 very strong drink,I had two and was feeling good.

Tacos, the best I have ever had $2.95 and you get two of them, most Happy Hours they use cheap food, not at Mexicali, the staff was friendly , the music was great.

The owner Glen was friendly and made sure my group was having a good time, he also told us they have a late night Happy Hour. I will be back tomorrow.

Best Happy Hour in LA. I have been going to Mexicali for years however I stopped by the other day and they have a new Happy Hour which is better than any I have been to in Los Angeles and it available in the afternoon and during late night as well. We were there after 11pm and could not figure out why the drink prices were so low, then the server told me about the Happy Hour. All their house Margaritas and beers are super cheap.

The menu is loaded with small appetizers that are only $3 or so. I got to taste things I would never order because their normal portions are so huge. It is really great for lat night dining as well because you know you should not be eating that much before hitting the sack which is what I have to do after a couple of late night Margaritas.

Although I love Mexicali, I really love the new Happy Hour and I will definitel be going back.

Great Food, Super Drinks and Quick Service. I am not sure where some of these other reviewers ate or drank, but I have never had a bad experience at Mexicali and I have been going there for years.

The chips and salsa are wonderful. I have worked my way around the huge menu and I have never had a bad meal. The food comes out hot and fast and their prices are far below any other Mexican restaurants in the Valley including chain restaurants. It is a great place to go for a quick meal or to hang out with friends. You can be loud and you don't get noticed because the restaurant music is jumping.

Their drinks are so strong you start feeling tipsy after the first one. There are always plenty of interesting people to talk to at the bar and the staff is always so friendly.

It is just a real shame that many reviewers seem to have had a bad day and they take it out on the restaurant. Mexicali is far from overpriced and they give you so much food, I have never been anble to finish.

Its Descent..... I live in the area so I frequent Mexicali every now and then. I know what to expect when I am going. Over the years I have just become use to it. The servers try and turn the table instead of trying to get customers to enjoy their meal and time at the restaurant. Don't go out of your way for food or service but if your near, want a descent meal and pretty good priced drinks then visit but your not missing out!

Get mexican food elsewhere. All I can say is "meh"... Food is kinda bland. Not enough meat, drinks are expensive... Wait service was nice though...
