The best camera store in the valley

I visited Harry's Camera over this past weekend and had the most enjoyable exeprience. My camera was dropped by my seven year and I was in search of a new one. Upon my arrival I browsed the camera shop and explained my problem, I was asked if I had the camera with me, (which I did). After looking at my camera i was told that I could get it repaired for considerably less than the price of a new camera not only did I receive my camera back in a timely fashion but the salesman was very knowledgable. GREAT GUY!!!!! I will be back.
Camera rip off.

Very similar to the other review. Instead of repairing cameras, they seem to be in the business of selling cameras for parts. I had a digital Minolta that wouldn't turn on. Minolta quoted me a price that was almost as much as the cost of the camera. I went to Harry's who sent it to his repairman and the quote was a bit lower. Then word came that he couldn't get parts anymore since Minolta was being bought by Sony and discontinuing many models. I wanted the camera back and the guy there said it was at the repair shop and he'd call me when it came in. He never called and when I did, I was told they couldn't find it BUT he would find me a better camera for what the repair was going to cost. I never heard from them again and they always put me off. No question they sold my camera for parts. Real scammers.

I took my SONY DCR-TRV900 3CCD, to Harry?s Camera to get repaired and was quoted a price and I agreed to have them fix it. I went back to pick up my camera a few weeks later to find the price was higher and when asked why they did not have an answer. I asked if I could make payments and was told that I could. Every few months I went in and made a payment. When I went in to pay off the Bill, I was told they couldn?t find my camera. I went in a week later and was told the camera was in the warehouse and they would have it next week. The salesman would call me. He never called. A couple of weeks pass with no call and I return to the store and I was informed they are still looking, but the person in the repair shop was on vacation and they would call me when he got back. No Call. I went in a couple weeks later after no call and noticed on my paperwork that they sold my camera. When I confronted the same person who gave me the quote and has been giving me the run around, he told me they didn?t sell it. They couldn?t sell my camera due to I was making payments. He would call me in a few days. After a couple of more weeks after no call I go back in he finally breaks down and tell me that they sold my camera for parts and are trying to find me a camera to replace mine, he was bidding on one on ebay and would call me next week. Guess what? No call and I go back in and he tells me he has one in the shop being repaired for me, I ask for the money he sold my camera for and he said, I can?t do that. He would call me on Tuesday. I said, ?are you going to call, because you keep on saying you will but never do?, and I haven?t heard from him. I'm still waiting.
