All things Asian...but mostly Chinese. Although you can find something that fits every Asian community here, this store generally caters to the Chinese community. Their bakery is Chinese in tradition, and they have a hot food deli where you can purchase food to go. We usually stop here for all "oriental" staples. Soy sauce by the gallon, calrose rice in 20lb bags, frozen shrimp or fish balls...and of course...tofu. Plus...you can get a jar of Jiffy, too.

For Asian specialties at rock-bottom prices mosey on in to 99 Ranch.. The Scene
This Asian market is clean, modern and vast. Hours of diversion are tucked into its shelves and crannies: live fish, a profusion of colorful gummy candies, an intoxicating array of Chinese liquor in porcelain decanters, an immaculate produce section that transcends the best Western markets.

The Goods
99 Ranch offers a dazzling mix of familiar foods and obscure delicacies for incredibly thrifty prices. The produce section is an adventure: pea sprouts, asparagus lettuce, and perhaps a dozen other Asian greens. Longbeans, bitter melon and green papaya are fresher than fresh. Ditto live seafood like Dungeness crabs and lobsters. Or venture into uncharted waters and try something exotic. Micropogan unducatus, anyone? Beef, pork and poultry are bountiful and beautifully cut. Dozens of aisles are loaded with Asian goods, from staples like Jasmine rice, soy sauce, oils, hot sauces and bean curd products to special treats like roast duck and Hello Kitty Dream Cakes.

Great Asian Super Market!. I love to shop at 99 Ranch. It carries all Asian foods and products you would ever need. I always go for the chinese vegetables, fruits, meat & seafood, and the chinese sauces, canned goods. A large assortment of candy from all over the world - Candy is a sign of wealth for many Asians.
