Great food and super service. Yahaira's Cafe serves the most delicious food and the service always comes with a smile. The waitstaff are very friendly and the cook knows what he is doing! For breakfast try their Huevos Yucatan, a delicious alternative to Huevos Rancheros.

Distinctive food overrides mundane setting. From the outside this restaurant looks a bit like an unambitious sandwich shop in a busy part of town, relying on convenient location to bring in the clientele. A few outdoor tables and an underwhelming interior.

Fortunately this boring surface disguishes some truly outstanding food and a prompt, courteous wait staff that could easily support a much more upscale environment. I recommend the grilled vegetable tostada - which is delicious with the frying sauces and the light dusting of cinnamon on a feathery crisp shell bowl complete with crunchy jicama bits and the slight tang of mango woven throughout. Impressive. In fact, this little restaurant's food far outshines it's parent, El Portale.

cute spot!!!. This is a cute little place! Great decor- art on the walls that you can buy. Nice menu- salads, tortas, sandwiches, etc. Went for lunch and had a good experience.

Great food, but Small Place. The food here is great. I've tried almost all of the dishes, my fave, the asada wrap. One problem with the joint, especially for lunch during the weekdays is that it gets really crowded...and rightly so. Parking is available behind the building. Entrance to the parking lot is on green street.

Lunch is fine but dinner is better....... This restaurant was great (and busy) from the day they opened. The food is fantastic but what makes this a great place to eat is the friendly, outgoing personalities of the staff and management. The minute you step in the door someone greets you and makes sure you're well taken care of throughout your meal. Breakfast and lunch is served everyday but they have a special dinner menu Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It's a good place to bring a date before going to the Pasadena Playhouse which is right around the corner. They change their menu every week so there is always something new to try.

A Lunching Treasure. Yahaira's is a tiny cafe on busy Colorado Blvd in Pasadena. The tostada salads are fresh, flavorful and completely satisfying for lunch or dinner. Their breakfasts are traditionally American but just add a little of their homemade salsa to your omelet and--ZING--it's not traditional anymore. During lunch they can get extremely overworked, and you will often have to request beverage refills. The thing that sets Yahaira's apart from other local tiny eateries is the management's dedication to supporting local artists. The small gallery space is just big enough for emerging artists to have a decent show and be exposed to potential buyers.

Great for Lunch!. This little whole in the wall is a stellar find. The basics include tortas and salads. Specials of the day include a carne asada wrap with this amazing sauce. French fries with a little seasoning and drinks included in the price of your meal. Who can beat that.
