Fall into this all-American clothing store, whose crisp white interior houses a variety of clothing basics, all subtly stylish and classically chic. While once a world of earthen-toned khaki pants and button-downs, today the store has embraced feminine detailing for women, vintage-y T-shirts for guys and a bright color scheme, creating an all-around modern meets classic vibe. Obliging employees are eager to help shoppers build outfits and find clothing to suit each personal preference. Although the moniker is originally derived from the generation gap between young children and adults, branch stores like GapMaternity and BabyGap allow the clothing chain to cater to every age group.

Two-level Gap!. In the middle of the Promenade, this Gap is neat as it has two levels, accessed either by stairs or elevator. Their staff is friendly and there's free parking nearby. One of the better ones on the Westside.

Preppy without the price. Yes, I'm a geek for reviewing The Gap but let's be honest with each other: We've all shopped here at some point in our lives, right? So, why is that? The Gap seems to have the perfect t-shirt, shorts, sweatshirt, or khakis just at the right time. Also, who is ever disappointed with a Gap gift card? Also, I think the clothes are pretty high quality (try not to think of the conditions they might be made in) and seem to last forever. Well, at least until I lose them.
