Past its prime. This place was great when I was a kid. I went back recently and it was just an average place. Nothing special at all. I would no longer recommend this place to anyone. It's just another taco stand.

If only my uber-mexican friend Steve was here. The best way to judge a taco spot is by how good its buche, lengua, or al pastor is and how good its salsa is. Taqueria Sanchez wins on almost all of these point. It has excellent buche and lengua but its al pastor is subpar. In fact most taco spots in Los Angeles have subpar al pastor so I won't hold that against them. And there salsas are some of the best I've ever had--I mean they have guacamole right there for you to serve yourelf, come on. So highly recommend this place.
