In Short – Chowhounds nosh against a quartz-rock backdrop and in the fountain-centered sunken dining room, while fashion-conscious singles mingle at bar. Designer Dodd Mitchell's earthy theme is continued in the lofty club area, with a ledge lined with display cases of fire-breathing pebble people. This hip spot offers Franco-Japanese cuisine such as starter kabocha squash soup, ahi tuna tartare and full sushi menu. Chunky bread pudding studded with rum raisins or s'mores with airy marshmallows are dessert choices.

I liked this restaurant. the people were nice, waiting was non-existant, but i did make a reservation ahead of time. probably wasn't necesary because the restaurant was about 3/4 full. valet was nice. food was very artsy and tastefull. i had the tuna tar tar which was great. the drinks were very well mixed and quick coming. The food could be in higher quantity considering our dinner drinks and all were over 100 bucks
- Pros: atmosphere, service, location
- Cons: quantity for the $, drink prices
So Many Places In Los Angeles To Choose From....

Wow, we got in relatively early on a Friday night (before the crowd). We had appetizer, main dish and dessert. The appetizer soup was sent back because it was cold, the Kobe Steak (which was highly recommended and ordered Med) came out raw, not rare and was sent back 3 times. My companion commented on the 3rd time, how this is how it should have come out from the get go. The fish my companion ordered was cold. How disappointing when you are paying top dollar. Never again!
