In Short – With their signature black-and-white interior scheme (it is named Penguin's after all), this SoCal chain was one of the first brands to start the "froyo" craze. Born in the '80s and aimed at health-concscious customers looking for an ice cream experience without the calories, Penguin's offers a line of fat-free, sugar-free and dairy-free frozen dessert products. Each location has a variety of soft-serve and hard-packed frozen yogurts with many toppings from which to choose.

Rudest service and attitude ever!

I don't think I have ever experienced ruder service than here. I honestly don't know how they stay in business. The man who works in the afternoons is either on the phone, in the back room, or out of the store entirely. I once waited with several other customers for 10 minutes, before he came strolling back into the shop! They pump so much air into the yogurt that you are paying top prices for very little yogurt. Try the Penguin's on Westwood Blvd. instead. Great flavors, good value for the money, and friendly staff. Just a few miles away, but what a difference!

I didn't know it was possible to have an awful experience every time

Go to this location if you want to have an awful experience. Everytime i go there, i am faced with rude service and tasteless yoghurt. i didn't know froyo could go so wrong. it's placed in a nice location but i'd much rather drive a bit further to the penguins located on westwood and olympic. i think they are managed by different people. the froyo there is always delicious and just right.

I don't get it

Everyone I know loves Penguins, but I just don't get the appeal. I think Bigg Chill is a lot better for the exact same price. The yogurt tastes as low fat as it is. Very flavorless.
