Great Happy Hour Deals!
by Meat Me in the Middle
Met a friend at Gushi last night on her recommendation, and it was a well-deserved one. Gushi's menu is filled with Korean-style tapas, sushi, salads, seafood, sizzling plates like Bi Bim Bop, Bulgogi and more - and all for great prices. We arrived a few minutes before 7pm and were able to get their happy hour prices on most of our food and drinks - total bill was $39 for like 5 dishes and three drinks!
Definitely recommend this location as well, there were plenty of seating and the servers were definitely attentive. Everything was great, just wish I had more time and room to try everything on the menu. I will definitely be back for seconds.
Not Inexpensive

Fish fresh and good - I had big, yummy oysters and yellowtail. It's more like a $$$ than a $$, which is kind of average for good sushi anyway.
Nice date place - candles on the tables, etc. Could do without the t.v. on the wall, but that seems to be widely accepted these days.
- Pros: Fresh Fish
- Cons: A Little Pricey

For the price and the decore, this is a great find. It is never crowded, never expensive, and always yummy. It can be hard to find as it is in a stip mall. Also, they have a great happy hour that I belive is 2 dollars for a large sake.
- Pros: Prices, decore, service
- Cons: Its not amazing, just good
Good Sushi , slow lunch time waitress
by ler24
I have been eating sushi for many years, know many of the sushi places around town, and actually worked in an upscale sushi bar on Madison Ave. in NYC, just out of college. I had gone to Sush Anju under the old ownership on numerous occassions. Mostly because I love sushi and it is very close to where I live. The owner Hideko was pleasant enough, the food was OK (safe quality), but the portions were miserly. The owner was obviously behind the bar, very cost concious as he was very stingy with the fish portions. Prices were OK but you had to eat 2 items to get the effect of one order of sushi elsewhere. I recently tried it under the new ownership for lunch. As I walked in the sushi bar guys were ready to go but the waitress was very slow in getting to me and once she took my order equally slow in getting me my water and tea. To give you an idea how slow, the guys had made my lunch before she brought me the beverages. The food however was worth the wait; generous in portion, good quality and priced fairly. The guys behind the bar were friendly, attentive and unlike some bars I have gone to, happy to take care of your needs- no attitude where you feel you have to beg to get their attention to order the next item. I look forward to trying Sushi Anju again and hope they are consistent with the food quality as I will go there often if they are. I just hope they hire a waitress who understands basic service priorities; people do not like to wait for service when the place is practically empty and to take care of customers before cleaning vacant tables .
- Pros: good food, noce sushi chefs
- Cons: bar stools at bar uncomfortable, waitress service bad
