suspension fiasco-gm susan is horrible- needs to be fired!
by italyles
I joined over a year ago with much enthusiasm since I know several people who have been members for 10 years or more at this gym. I worked out for a few months and a car accident injury prevented me from being able to use the facilities to their full extent.
I contacted the membership department explained my problem and a very nice guy who said no problem, send me your dr info and what you needed for your membership to be suspended till and i'll get it done.I dropped it off to him and figured he would follow through. Almost a year later i found out that was not the case AND I NOW KNOW WHY.
I contacted the GM susan who was very unhelpful, rude and short. She told me I needed a dr. note from an actual dr. not a chiropractor and she would give it to the owners and they would make the final decision. I told her my dr would not write one since he wanted to give me surgery and I only had my chiropractors letter and she could contact him to discuss it. She said a chiropractor is not considered a dr. in these cases. I told her thank you and I would contact her when I found an actual dr who would write me a note.
So now my membership is rotting and money I work hard for is wasted for no reason. I wasn't asking to get a refund, just a suspension until I was able to workout again.
very disappointed,
good and bad

I had a fine time at this huge, Spartan, fairly-clean gym, but their cancellation policy is really sketchy.
First, whenever I called to ask about membership suspensions or cancellations they are always less friendly and a little cagey about it.
You can't walk in with your ID and cancel. They make you write a letter. So I did. Then they tell me it had to be certified mail. (?!)
Anyway the cert' mail thing a giant inconvenience that only makes sense if you assume that, as a corporate policy, they have determined they can get departing customers to fork over an extra month or two while they get around to schlepping to the post office.
I would have had a fine opinion of the company but this feels so inefficient and inconsiderate at best and cynically opportunistic at worst.
Boo.
Great Studio
by bebocobo
I have been going to the here since October 2007. It is a quiet, serene and cozy studio. The place lives up to its name. My trainer, designs each session depending on how my body feels. Some days, I am stiffer (arthritis) and we do more stretching, some days I feel great and she works me out! I always feel like I am her only client, that’s how focused on me she is. As a result of my weekly visits, my body is much stronger, more flexible and looks a lot better. My arms and legs have long, strong muscles, my abs are finally getting strong! I have never liked exercise and now, I cannot live without my Pilates session. I joke that I feel just as good after Pilates as I do after a massage! I highly recommend his spot to anyone looking for personalized training.
Rockin Abs!

I stumbled upon this find with a local school auction win; I had always wanted to try Pilates. In a short series of classes, I felt a noticeable change! With a few more classes, I felt sleeker in my over-40 body! I was amazed at how much fun I was having too! Trisha and Jesse worked me hard while making me smile and laugh as the hour passed. I find myself missing the camaraderie almost as much as the expert instruction. Pilates takes mental energy and the descriptive approaches given and encouragement along the way are best in class! Thank you to Cassidy and her tremendous staff! TRY THEM OUT!
