very good price, best sushi place, fantastic roll, slow service, fresh fish, very nice staff, excellent amazing prices
Can't get wrong with Rainbow Roll. Best rainbow roll I had ever had, especially the crab inside is so fresh, perfect match with fresh avocado and cucumber. Good job, Shoga !
L.A.'s Best Sushi Place. This is the best place I have eaten Sushi. They have an amazing roll called the White Roll which is already made with soy paper. It is the best I can almost guarantee you will not be dissappointed. I've ordered their party platters a few times and my guests loved it.
it was alright. their rolls seem to be too sweet for my taste. i had the fire crunch roll, the dragon and a couple spicy tuna hand rolls. i know the fish was fresh, u can just taste it and see the bright color, but a lot of their dishes have too much going on, with tempura crisps and green onions sprinkled and overflowing. U be the judge. Also waiting for the food took too long. I ordered at 8, and the food came 8 40pm.
Best taste, freshest fish. Some of it still moves =).
This is on of the best Sushi spots in the valley. I have problems going to other sushi restaurants because the taste and quality are not on par with Shoga Sushi. Eddie is the Sushi Chef there and he makes fantastic rolls. Service is a little slow but its worth the wait. I drive all the way from downtown just to have his special Pepper Salmon Sashimi, its one of the specials Shoga is Known for. I still have not found a restaurant that can duplicate it. People shouldn't give a review of a restaurant if they Have not even tried the Food.
I Wish I could give this place 6 Stars.
says it opens @11:30 am but i had waited 10minutes !!. i went to shoga one day and ended up waiting 10minutes over the actual open hours . now..... a sushi restaurant needs preparation . i was @ the restaurant @ 11:30am and waited at least 10 minutes till 2 men came and opened their door. i did not see the 2 men with anything in hand. @ that point i knew that their fish wasn't fresh. since i was there i decided to take a look @ the to go menu. the lunch prices is very inexpensive: however; i did not order anything because i did not want to waste my money. FRESH is important especially when it comes to raw fish! i believe this restaurant is also owned and operated by a Korean. the interior is ok, cozy little place. as for food ...........i can not say because i have not tried . sushi ... i' would stay away.
Best service, awesome prices. Don't let the strip-mall aspect fool you. Excellent sushi, AMAZING prices, and a very nice (although sometimes unintuitive) staff. Seek it out, very tiny and tucked away but a treasure.
DO NOT GO HERE. i'm not sure if the previous reviewer is talking about the right place because this place certainly isn't her description. we went there and the ambiance was post-apocalyptic. there was one seedy looking family inside and a "waitress" who didn't say one word to us. they only have one kind of sake and NO ALBACORE! i don't think anything else needs to be said. we ate one order of salmon and ran out to sushi king in santa monica.
Great Fish Great Value. Forget Roku, forget Nozawa this is the place for you. If you wanted to be "seen" and brag about your sushi bar, this is not your place. If you want A+ food at a very good price go here. I am an avid fan of this spot and frequent it often. Its small but its worth the wait. Trust me, you'll never go anywhere else!
