RUDE!! WILL NOT LET PREGNANT WOMEN GO THE BATHROOM!!.
RUDE! RUDE! RUDE!
KELLY the night time store manager left my PREGNANT WIFE in tears.
We had been shopping at Sears for about two hours. We bought some kitchen items and were rudely attended by a cashier who was short on time and long on attitude. Oh well, we thought, she must be having a bad day.
Before we left we went down to check on appliances. It was about 8:30 by this point. We were being helped by a salesperson who was quite good but very chatty. So 9:00 came and it was time to leave the store.
On our way out we headed to the restroom, BIG MISTAKE. Apparently Sears is like a prison and when 9pm there are no inmates (customers) allowed on the yard. As we approached the bathrooms an employee screams out at us, "YOU CAN'T GO IN THERE!". My wife told the girl that she had to go really bad and would just be a minute. The girl was not sympathetic and said "NO!".
I told her to call her manager, thinking to myself that a trained manager of such a large chain would be rationale and at least kind. HELL NO!!!
The night manager KELLY was even worse...
"NO YOU CAN'T GO!",
"NEXT TIME, YOU SHOULD TIME YOUR VISITE SO YOU WONT BE GOING TO THE RESTROOM AT CLOSING",
"I CAN CALL SECURITY OR YOU CAN LEAVE THE STORE",
These were just some of the stern faced comments being hurled at me. She was unapologetic, pushy, and unprofessional. It is a manager's job to be able to handle these situations in a professional manner. I'm sure Sears has a strict policy for security after store closing, but then maybe they shouldn't allow cashiers to still be ringing people up at 9pm or talking to customers past 9pm.
So KELLY is being aggressive and finally gives me an offer I can't refuse..........."I CAN ACCOMPANY YOUR WIFE TO THE RESTROOM OR I CAN ESCORT YOU BOTH OUT OF THE BUILDING!"
So I asked Kelly to escort her to the restroom.
By the time we left my PREGNANT WIFE was shaking and traumatized. Tomorrow I will go back and return everything I bought. I'm going to make sure I talk to the store manager and let her know that their policies and their night manager KELLY is unqualified, rude, and caused them to lose a customer for life.
I will never return to this or any other Sears.
