Editorial Review for Fifi & Romeo Boutique – by Lisa Ferguson
The Scene
Big dog fans beware: This froufrou boutique is strictly tiny canine territory. Lavishly decorated with pink-striped walls, a chandelier and Pucci mannequins, Fifi & Romeo is--in the words of co-owners Penelope Francis and Yana Syrkan--"Audrey meets Eloise."
The Goods
Cashmere sweaters and faux fur-trimmed wool coats are just a few of the decadent goods made for pint-sized pooches. There are also blankets, raincoats and stylish doggie totes for critters on the go. But pampered pets aren't the only concern at this shop. It has extended its collection of luxurious accessories to include items for women, infants and the home.

Insider Tips
The ExtrasFor modest mutts, the store provides spacious changing rooms with full-length mirrors and no fluorescent lighting.
Know Before You GoBe sure to let Fido relieve himself before his shopping spree. There's no grass and only a concrete-bordered tree out front.

Been going to F&R for 4 years now. Love the atmosphere, the clothes (for people), clothes for dogs, collars, carrier bags, ID tags, cashmere sweaters.....I love it ALL! I've had the pleasure of purchasing many items one-of-a-kind and also custom cashmere as well. The staff especially owner, Yana puts her personal touch on everything and it all is made with 100% love. I am by no means rich, but I don't mind spending extra money on something extra special, high quality and unique. My items all look brand new because they are made with high quality materials and workmanship. Whenever we come close to the store, I say to my dog, "Wanna go to Fifi & Romeo?" He has a spring in his step and his tail starts wagging and he pulls me towards the door. He is greeted by everyone there with hugs and kisses!
Pros: unique one of a kind items, high quality leathers, cashmere, durable materials, friendly staff

This specialized dog shop is over the top with style. If you have a small breed dog, and have no shame in spoiling him/her then this is a great place. It may not be the most affordable place in town, but the product quality is excellent, and lasts. Having said that they do also have affordable options, as well as pampered puppy excess. I must say besides the fact this shop has the proper 'high street' look, sound, and feel for you spoiled companion, the best part is the staff are 100% unpretentious. A nice change of pace.
Pros: staff, atmosphere, unique and custom fit clothing, great for gifts and the community
Cons: might be to pricey on clothing for some owners
