  1. great food, great beer, great service and the juke box is awesome.
  2. At first I thought the place was only good for beer and appetizers, but when I tried their entrees (I've had their burger, halibut, spinach salad, etc), OH MY GOD!
  3. House beer is the only thing discounted, no happy hour prices on anything else, but they have 4 different house beers for $2.50 a pop which wasn't too bad.
  4. The waiters and bartender were great to talk to, their beers were great, the appetizers tasty (loved the garlic fries and chicken quesadilla), and their martinis were yummy (canteloupe was my personal favorite).
  5. Cheap drinks but the food was horrible.
  6. This is a great bar in DownTown LA...The 2 happy hours are great.

2 happy hours with house beer made by firestone walker brewery .... one of the best ipa's @ a happy hour price. good messy cheeseburgers -- tuna fish sandwich with chips & cold beer -- what could be better. i notice that restaurant is having some great guest craft beers without breaking the bank!

Great Happy Hour!

by DrivThruBandit10

I came here after work one day with one of my coworkers and was pleasantly surprised. I have never been to Little Tokyo and came across this bar online. The food was amazing and very affordable and the service was great. I didn't have to wait long for my food and the bartender was very attentive. I definitely plan on coming back for lunch someday because they have lunch specials. Sweet!

There are too many great places in L.A. to waste money here.

This establishment will serve you a canned beer, slam a warm glass on your table, and walk away. Don't ask for a chilled glass. It will totally piss off both of the bartenders. I gave them a several chances and came back about 4 more times. Not enjoyable. My friends were so offended by the rudeness of the staff that they asked me if they could leave. How could I blame them? When I asked the server if he was aware that he was acting aggressive and he acted like I spoke a foreign language...like a child who does not understand big words. It was the most bazaar interaction...aside of the situation of being a customer...that I was sure that they are not concerned if you don't like the service. It's not just that they are rude but simply stupid people over 30 stuck in a job they hate. Also, if you ask for a manager, the person you are speaking to will claim to be the manager. Every time. It's like a rule they have. Minimum wage high school drop outs who need free beer I am guessing. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS BREWERY unless you are ready to treat them like scumbags. That is what they expect anyway. Sad.

good happy hour!!

by guest100

happy hour was good!! i had some friends who suggested weilands in little toyko. so we went after work. like a pre- bacholorette party with friends/co-workers from work. i never been so i am up for anything that is delicious and cheap. i was kinda turned off by paying for parking $6 but i guess they gotta get you somehow. heh. anyway we got seated right away but i hear it can get pretty busy. our waitress was extremely nice but service was slow which she came back to apologize for. myself i had a keylime martini and some tropical drink. the tropical drink was way better than the keylime martini. we ordered some garlic fries which were delicious sooo good that we had 3 orders heeh, and some calarmi, which were ok. well my 2 friends drank at least 7 drinks and then took it to the karoake bar across the street and then drank somemore at the end of the nite one of my friend's regurgetated the garlic fries ALL up on the side of her car but then FUN TIMES HAD BY ALL HEHE

  • Pros: the drinks and food
  • Cons: paying for parking/slow service/ small portions

Crowded Happy Hours, Good Beer, Good Prices

by wandernn1

Went to this place on a Friday around 5:30pm to check out their happy hour. Nice! It was crowded and we got the 2nd to last table in the restaurant area because the bar area was packed. The crowd was court/city/county employee-like, so a semi professional mostly younger crowd. House beer is the only thing discounted, no happy hour prices on anything else, but they have 4 different house beers for $2.50 a pop which wasn't too bad. Appetizers, garlic fries and onion rings were not overly impressive but were not too expensive and the burger my friend ordered was alright. Didn't really check out any other food, but the menu prices weren't bad, topping out at like 15 to 18 bucks for a steak. Lots of people watching to do and the crowd seemed ready to mingle. Definitely recommend this for an early happy hour. It's actually good to see people out boozing it up early!

  • Pros: Good crowd. Cheap Beer. Full Bar. Inexpensive Food. Nice Happy Hour.
  • Cons: If you can't find free parking, you're impatient or unlucky, or both.
