very tasty fast food, bad food, bad fries, slow service, good meal, great dollar burger, gem carls jr
Best late night meal. Carl's Jr. is the best for a late night dinner/snack or on the road meal. Try the jalapeno burgers. They are the best!!!!!!! all I can say is YUMMMMM!!!!
Quick-service eatery sates ravenous appetites with monster burgers, milk shakes and more fast-food fare..
In Short
Since opening its first diner in the 1940s, this restaurant has developed into one of the most popular West Coast franchises, claiming industry innovations such as the drive-through window, partial-service dining rooms and their iconic Six Dollar Burgers--a line of oversized, sit-down restaurant-style hamburgers with Angus patties. Other hearty options abound, including steak-and-egg breakfast burritos, crispy chicken sandwiches and chili cheese fries to supplement standbys like onion rings and shoestring potatoes.
The $6 Burger - worth $4. The $6 burger is very good when purchased from some Carl's Jr. locations but definitely not from all of them. When done right, it's well worth the $4.
Our local Carl's is great... Just having a burger that is char-broiled over grilled gives Carl's the edge. Quality is on the upswing, and our local store is always clean with good service. The ad agency that Carl's uses should watch a few of the Jack-in-the-Box ad's and put a more positive approach on their TV promotions. Probably the most distasteful advertising I have seen on TV. The $6 burger does live up to its hype.
Yuck. Cold and soggy fries, slow service, 50% of the time they mess up the order, like somebody said earlier they food is as nasty as their commercials!
How an LA Gem took a 360 turn for worse.
Carls Jr. was once a gem of a Hamburger Joint, Growing up in Southern California, I know so much about Carls. I remember eating at Carls or as I call it CJ's, It was a great place to eat, The service was friendly, the food was fresh, the burgers were char-broiled (not fried like McD'S) and I loved most everything about CJ's. During the Mid-to late 90's a lot of change came to Carls Jr.
It all started with the hardcore "IN YOUR FACE" Slogan, then it followed the Acquisition of Hardees, And now, the restaurant I once considered burger heaven has now taken a 360 degree turn for the worse. The Service is slow and the employees can't speak a lick of english, The presentation stinks and Most importantly The Food Now really sucks and It's not fresh. If I were you I would Avoid CJ's and go elsewhere.
It's in my face!. The food is excellent, high quality, and very tasty. I always make this my first choice for lunch or dinner
Top 10? You Must be Kidding?. Carl's exemplifies almost everything wrong with fast food burgers. Its only saving grace is that it is usually (relatively) fresh. But bad food is bad food, whether it is fresh, or not.
6 DOLLAR BURGER IS GREAT. THE 5 DOLLAR BURGER IS GREAT, AND IS A VERY GOOD VALUE
Juicy goodness. I tried the large "$6" burger combo at the location on Santa Monica Blvd. Overwhelmingly large and tasty. Fresh bun, good balance of condiments. I recommend it. The fries were good but not remarkable.
