not icky meat, really liked place, good best massaman, amazing curries, good pad thai, fast service, best thai joint
Nice new decor, but the food quality has gone way down since a few years back.. I have to agree with the comment below. This place used to be fantastic. Since moving back to LA last summer, was disappointed to see the decline in quality here. The bbq pork neck was once very tender, the best. Now they give you this tough meat that just isn't the same. Went back a second time and the "chicken" meat in the panang curry was scary. (Every cut of meat looked very suspect, like it came from strange parts (feet, organs?) or worse - maybe other animal(s)). I couldn't finish my meal. I really liked this place once and, even after the last horrible experience, will probably give them one last chance at redemption. There's too many good thai places nearby for the (new?) owners to think they can get away with skimping on quality.
WAS the best thai joint.. My boyfriend and I used to frequent this place with their amazing curries and noodle dishes. If you asked for something especially spicy or specific, they were more than accomodating. Sometime in the last year, though, something changed (maybe new chefs), and it has been disappointing since. We even gave it four trys to hold out hope for our favorite place, but finally gave up the last time. Try Nadpob nearby.
best massaman curry, good for vegetarians. fast and cheap, better than most. awesome curries and homemade tofu that they actually know how to cook (not squishy and jellylike). really good for vegetarians, but meat is not icky and weird like a lot of thai town joints. plus delivery!
Great Find. We discovered this restaurant after reading a small piece in the LA Times. So happy we found it. Service is friendly and fast. Food is always consistent and very tasty. We eat in and get delivery from here often. Don't let the fact that it is in a strip mall scare you off....Its a great hidden spot in Los Feliz...Prices are great!
