This salon is impossible to miss on the corner of Fairfax and Rosewood; not just because of the vibrant electric blue-toned decor, Pucci-esque patterned walls and enormous lavender chandelier, but because of the friendly family atmosphere on a block now full of barely civil sneaker pros and skater punks. Owner Molly Scargall and collaborator Josh Kaplan have been trimming, styling and coloring tresses together since Vidal Sassoon beauty school, and they have a dedicated following to show for it. Kristal also gets funky with a pair of scissors, while makeup artist Cara and stylist Natalie round…
Kristal Rose aka "The Hair Extraodinaire!
by CSMobileUser
I just got the best hair cut ever! I used to have very long hair and decided to go short like Rhianna's do. It ended up turning out awful!! So, a friend of mine referred me to Kristal Rose at Goo. Even thought she didn't have a lot to work with, she rocked it out!!!! Kristal Rose did such an AMAZING AMAZING job!!! I have never had so many compliments on my hair than I did after she fixed it. It has been growing out so nicely that I still get compliments on it. I would refer Kristal Rose to anyone, and will follow her anywhere she goes!!
- Pros: Example: best croissants in town
- Cons: What are the drawbacks?
Go see Tonya for Eyebrow Waxing and Shaping!

I have been going to Tonya for a few years now, and she is now working at Goo Salon! Tonya is fantastic at what she does, and I really do think she does the best eyebrows in Los Angeles. She shapes them in a way that works best for your type of face, and it doesn't even hurt that bad. She's extremely nice and very professional as well. She also does eyelash tinting, makeup, etc. She works a few days a week so call ahead to make an appointment. Love Tonya!
Best. Damn. Haircut. Ever.

Josh, super stylist at Goo, has been cutting my hair for almost 6 years. I now live in the San Francisco area but still travel to Los Angeles to get my haircut. The boy is a genius with scissors. He is so friggin' talented. I have really thick, wavy, coarse hair with all sorts of weird cowlicks but I always leave Goo feeling so completely gorgeous and chic. Josh listens to what I need and he cuts my hair so that it fits my lifestyle. I'm a little adventurous so we tend to have fun with my shorter hair, but the outcome is always flattering and I feel so special when I walk out of there. Molly and everyone else at Goo are truly so sweet and they are part of the reason I love getting my hair cut.
If this review sounds like a love letter, that's because it is. If you saw my "before" pictures, you would totally get what I am talking about. Josh has changed my life and it is such a pleasure knowing him and Molly. I look forward to many more years of excellent haircuts and great company.
- Pros: Life-changing haircuts
- Cons: May cause feelings of overwhelming love
