Owned by hairstylist Carla Gentile, this modern salon offers a full range of services ranging from cuts and color to blowdry and straightening. Signature hair and scalp treatments include the 50-minute Ultra Gloss, which includes a soothing scalp massage and promises to add moisture and lots of shine. Those wanting the creme de la creme should try the Carita Exfoliating Treatment (offered in both one hour and twenty-minute versions), which uses Carita's Le Renovateur to exfoliate, decongest, remove build up and nourish the scalp and hair. Made from sunflower seeds fermented in essential oils of clove, thyme, and lemon for a year in an oak barrel, it's a hair indulgence like no other.

I get so many compliments on my haircuts from Carla. She truly listens to what you are looking for. I am always happy with the results. The salon has a great atmosphere, too. It is a bit expensive, but it is worth it.

Carla and her staff have the best salon in Los Angeles. I feel taken care of from the moment I enter and feel beautiful when I leave. Carla is an amazing hair dresser. I have had the deep moisturizing treatments...they are incredible. I LOVE the new scalp oil they created. I use it several times a week. I highly recommend the Steam Salon!!!

I have gotten my hair cut at this salon for many years. The owner Carla gives the best haircut in LA. I am in the beauty industry and have my hair cut by some of the the best in the industry and none have been able to compare. She truly listens to you and gives you exactly what you hoped for and more. The energy at the salon is amazing and you feel as though you are part of their family after a few visits. Friendly, professional and great service. Fabulous decor too! Could not say enough great things about the staff and service. They do an superb job of making you feel special!

Parking:
Two-hour street parking is available on Harper Avenue, but be aware that it does turn to permit-only weeknights after 6pm as well as on weekends.
