There's turn-of-the-last-century atmosphere galore in this green and purple Victorian house-cum-boutique decorated with vintage lamps, life-sized mermaids, creepy-cute knickknacks and an eclectic selection of special occasion attire and novel treats for your inner magpie. Each room has a different focus, with the back bedroom devoted to young designer Ric-Rac and his repurposed vintage menswear. For the fillies, there's the tailored flounce of Smoke and Mirrors, Vivienne Westwood's striking knit monkey-print dress, and peek-a-boo crisscross wedge sandals by Irregular Choice. Jars of retro candies line the jewel case, stocked with art nouveau-inspired Double K pendants forged from bullet casings.
Hits: Bi-monthly trunk show parties feature live bands or DJs, wine and snacks and a chance to mingle with the locals.
Misses: It's an old house stuffed with fabric and no air conditioning, which on warm days can be oppressive.

A bunch of friends attended the Metropolis Fashion Show last night, which featured Sirens & Sailors, and we all loved the "Jennifer Phillips" clothing line. Jennifer Phillips is such a talented designer. Sirens & Sailors has great clothes and some of the best selections. I highly recommend checking out the store.

Just discovered the store. My neighbor was wearing a Cool black dress to a party and she said that she bought it at "Sirens & Sailors". So now, I do most of my shopping at "Sirens & Sailors". With the holidays coming up- I definitely will be doing my gift shopping here. Great idea having a store in a house. Cool! Cool Store!
