LOVED IT!!. So i went to Camachos this past weekend and had a blast!! went with a few of my girlfriends and we all enjoyed ourselves. ordered a few margaritas with our meal and couldn't have been any better, the food was delicious and the margaritas were better hehehe! They have live mariachi!!! we were in heaven!! who doesn't love mariachi?? but i mean a good one, and these guys were great! coming from a Mexican family i know mariachi and some aren't that great, not to be insulting, but this group really knew what they were playing and how to get the crowd into it. i will definitely be going back!! thank you camachos!!

Worse Mexican Food in the Area. I live in the area and ate at Camacho's about 10 years ago, and was very disappointed with the taste of the food. If was very bland, probably the worse Mexican restaurant I have ever visited. I swore I would never eat there again.

Fast forward to March 2010, my wife and I have some time alone from our children and decide to spend some time at City Walk. We thought we would give Camacho's a try again, hoping our first experience was just a fluke. We were wrong!

The food was very bland, we actually had to salt and pepper everything. The portions were very small, especially for the price. I ordered the fajitas, which to my surprise didn't come with cheese. I asked for some cheese and they brought me a thimble size cup of cheese and charged me $1.50, wow. My wife and I ate about half our plate before we gave up and threw in the towel, but I did finish the thimble of cheese. I'm really not sure how you manage to screw up cooking rice and beans, but somehow they have perfected this skill.

The service was just adequate, nothing special. The waiter was nice, but not very attentive.

I'm thinking if you like Camacho's it's probably because you had 2 or 3 margaritas before actually eating the meal. That would be the only reason I can see anyone liking this food. I'd like to say I will try getting drunk first on my next visit, but the truth is there will not be a next visit, ever! I would rather eat something they serve on "Fear Factor" or "Survivor."

Hope this review saves you some money, and a bad meal.

The worst place in earth. Don't go there!. My relatives from Texas and I went for dinner to this place but I regret the choice since not only the host was rude the server was rude they were very unfriendly people. It almost felt like a plan to ruin my dinner.

CityWalk scene for south-of-the-border munchies and margarita toasts.. In Short
Past hand-hewn doors and an enormous, provocative bronze caballero lies this festive, dimly lit cantina. Expect margarita toasts aplenty for birthday dinners, first dates and the occasional mariachi party. The drinks are complemented by a menu of sharable appetizers like quesadillas, guacamole and nachos. Marinated steak fajitas, with peppers and caramelized onions, headlines a list of large-plate entrees. Non-alcoholic specialty drinks, including tangy light limeade and creamy cinnamon horchata, are made from scratch.
