Rebuttal for GiGi's Hair Salon. This is to answer two complaints about our gift certificates that are donated free to different charites.

We have donated over 2,000 in the past five years.

and two of these have complained that we couldn't

accept these because they had expired. This is stated

on the gift certificate that it will expire one year after the

date of the event. GiGi can't always come to the phone

because she is with a client performing a hair service.

We will work with a client if she acts in a acceptable way. Thank you GiGi

Gigi is a hair wizard!!. Gigi is a FABULOUS hair care professional. Her hair coloring is great and I have never had any allergic reaction to it. I have used Capillary, her natural hair growth product and is the best thing I have every done for my hair.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I just read that someone bought a GC at a charity auction and unfortunately I did too. Gigi makes it so difficult to redeem - has to be on a tuesday, wednesday or thursday and she has very unfriendly hours. She wouldn't even come to the phone to discuss a way to accommodate me. I called one week after it expired and I was told not by her but by the receptionist because Gigi was yelling across the room in the background, that I'm sorry I cannot take an expired certificate! That was it. What a way to bring in new clients. If they treat potential clients so rudely BEFORE you walk in the door, I can imagine what they do once you are a client. I wouldn't recommend anyone start a relationship with this place. I found their customer service in poor taste.

Gigi saved my Hair!. I was really surprised by the review from the lady with the expired gift certificates and felt that Citysearchers

deserved another review. I have been seeing GiGi for over 10 years. When she first started working on me I had just gone full blonde for the first time ( I always did highlights) and the salon which is high profile in Santa Monica (will remain unnamed) turned my hair orangey white. I had them color it dark brown the same day because of how horrible it looked, they were horrified themselves and did the best they could do to make it better but two weeks later the color was almost out and the true damage was apparent. Magically Gigi came into my life and did intense conditioning treatments on me and within 4 months my hair was repaired and Hair Model shape I kid you not. Gigi is very kind and sweet and truly does a lot of things for our community including donating on a regular basis gift certificates to her salon to many charity's for their silent auctions. I don't blame her for not accepting an expired gift certificate, she is a business and it's up to the person to use it within the time it's valid. Anyways I am very Thankful for her salon and it's all natural products. Gigi also specializes in hair loss and has this Amazing product called Capillary that I have personally seen over the years restore hair loss from Chemo to pre-mature balding Men and Women. If you need an empathetic Hair Guru Gigi is for you. Yes, you may or may not get an immediate appointment and your appointment itself may take a little longer then you anticipated but believe me your patience will be truly rewarded.

Crass business woman. I purchased 2 auctioned gift certificates to Gigi's Salon at a benefit in April 22nd 2007. I knew it expired in 6 mths & had planned to take my friend for her b-day on Oct 16th. On Oct 6th, I was layed off & the certificates were in my desk drawer. After we rec'd our exit packages, we were not allowed to empty our desks only take our personal belongings. Our desks were to be emptied later with boxes shipped to our homes. ALSO I had family that needed to evacuate their homes in SD county & I had to go down there to help them pack up their homes & drive them back to my home. I rec'd my boxes 2 wks later & proceeded to find the certificates. Unfortunately, we couldn't go to the salon on her b-day since I did not have the certificates so I we planned on the 30th. When I found the certificate it stated it expired Oct 22nd. I just happed to have found the certificate on Oct 22nd & I immediately called the salon to get a 2 day extension & left a message for Gigi. She did not return my call. I called back the next day on the 23rd & spoke to the receptionist. Giggi NEVER came to the phone. She spoke to the receptionist who relayed her reply over the phone telling me there is nothing she can do. I was ONLY asking for 2 days of an extension & I did call on the 22nd to see if that was possible. I also told the receptionist about my lay off & how I did not get my boxes back the 20th and found the certificate on the 22nd and saw that it expired. I told them I spent $300 on both certificates and she can't even find it in her heart to give me 2 days!? She put me on hold AGAIN and came back with the reply of no, once again Gigi not coming to the phone, although I could hear her in the background saying no, she can't do it, no. I have very little respect for this woman and her salon. She is a FAR cry from anyone having sympathy and or respect for human feelings, which is unfortunate in our world today. It is a pity to see that there are still such CRASS people in this world.
