In Short – Owned by the folks behind Silver Lake's popular Rambutan, this small, square restaurant serves similar fare to Thai-craving Westsiders. Closely spaced, warm-wood tables fill the well-lit, yellow dining room, its walls accented with cobalt blue sconces. A substantial, veggie-heavy menu includes standbys like chicken satay and pad thai. More unusual dishes such as papaya salad, wok bowls and green-curry dumplings are also featured. The house specialty dessert is coconut sticky rice with fresh mango.
Definitely not the place to have Thai food in L.A.

The poor service matches the quality of food. The beef is dry and tasteless. They close very early and are very rude about it - they turn on the light and give you the check and generally rush you.
Judge for yourself - I dug it!

I wasn't gonna write a review but after reading the negative reviews I felt I had to speak up. I'm Thai. I love Pad Thai. I've realized that Pad Thai is hard to make consistent and I realized that Thai people don't really eat Pad Thai or at least the kind that is served in the restaurants. It's an americanized dish akin to Orange Chicken. With that said I wouldn't judge the restaurant on a dish they probably put on the menu as a courtesy. Nor would I judge a restaurant based on a take-out experience.
Now what I love about Tuk Tuk is that it differs from Thai Town cuisine in that it strives to present Thai food in a health conscious fashion without sacrificing the spice and the taste. Being a Thai person with a western style, it suited me perfectly. No stomach pains and I still gets me rice, which is a great hearty purple rice they serve. Oh and their eggrolls are awesome. Big and delicately fried.
- Pros: The Food, The Healthy Slant
- Cons: It's not close to where I live!
Good Eats, parking hard, really attentive, Southern girl addicted to Thai now.

A friend of mine, whom is a really picky eater recommended it to me. Well I was really impressed, b/c I'm a sourthern girl from N.O. So everything I let on my pallet has to be well seasoned and a hearty meal. Well I had this wontong soup with some ot the eggrolls and a small side of curry soup. I was floored when finished. I could'nt eat it all and wish they had a location in Atlanta. It had been 10 years since I had been to L.A., so this was a trip I refused to let go bad. I expected everything to go perfect and it started w/TukTuk. The service is really attentive and the waiters and waitresses were really cute, the aroma makes you wanna eat everything, my Wonton Soup was perfect. I will be back
- Pros: Good food, great service
- Cons: Parking, tables placed to close together.
