Great Burgers!!. Great find ! My boyfriend had been in the mood for a burger, so he did some research and found out about 26 beach. As soon as we walked in we just know it was gonna be good, every thing about the place was friendly and inviting. We sat on the sunny "garden style side" which was perfect, had a cool relaxed vibe. Service was great. We both ordered there famous burger which was the best burger I've had in LA. It ended up being a really nice time.

Citysearch Editorial Review. Imagine everything you wouldn't think to put on French toast, and this place does it: French toast stuffed with black forest ham, Swiss cheese and blackberry jam; French toast with creamy peanut butter, chopped Reese’s peanut butter cups and grated Belgian chocolate; croissant toasts topped with caramelized peaches, a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and melba sauce. Locals know this longtime restaurant as a killer brunch spot, and it's hard to disagree when you've seen the rest of the menu. Eggs are scrambled with pasta or served over brown rice, Hawaiian style, and each dish offers an appetizing assortment of ingredients. The Red Hot Chili Pepperzzz involves eggs, penne pasta, homemade chili, jalapeno, habanero, and crushed red peppers, and shredded cheddar cheese. Is your mouth watering (or burning) yet? Lunch and dinner menus offer more standard California cuisine. Interesting salads, great big burgers, and meat and fish entrees come in large portions, but there is a charge for split dishes. Prices vary but are mostly reasonable ($12 and up for burger and fries).

Huge Portions of Delicious Food. The most reasonably priced brunch you'll find this side of Sepulveda, you can easily share one of their dozens of egg scrambles and amazing French toasts. My favorite is hands down the "Polar Bear," which consists of two French toast croissants stuffed with while chocolate, berries and topped with two scoops of vanilla ice cream. Yes!

Hidden Gem of Burgers. 26 Beach is...well interesting. The food is fantastic, however the decor is like Grandma's dining room meets a Southern cafe. It's very odd to say the least. The exterior is simple, it's mostly a brick building. The interior is where the decor gets nutty. There are tacky old statues and pieces of old beat up furniture, old dressers, random mis-mosh of tables and chairs. The dining room is much more put together and it feels like you're in a different restaurant. They two rooms don't go together at all.

THE BOMBAY BURGER...

The food, as I said is great, especially the BURGERS! 26 Beach has an interesting menu, very eclectic mix of Breakfast, which includes 12 french toast options, 10 Hawaiian Style Royals, 7 delicious pasta scrambles then a few of the typical breakfast items. If you go for breakfast you must try the The Polar Bear, it's 2 French "croissants" toasts with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, fresh berries, Melba sauce and grated with white chocolate. This thing is more like a dessert, but don't be scared, take a chance and go for it. Everyone knows sugar is the perfect food. That's why God invented it for us. For all the great breakfast options they have I was extremely disappointed with the Breakfast Sandwich, it was dry, the bread was too thick and there was entirely too much lettuce. So like an ugly child just pretend it doesn't exist and pay attention to one of the other menu items.

THE HICKORY BURGER...

When it comes to the rest of the menu, they have over 20 salads, pastas, pizzas, sandwiches and 17 delicious, creative and interesting Burgers! All their burgers are 100% Angus Beef, but can be substituted for Kobe upon request. Stick with the Angus, Kobe is intended to be eaten as a steak, it's not meant to be ground and is overrated for burgers. My favorite burger is the Brunch Burger, a fried egg, thick and delicious applewood bacon and cheddar on top of the burger with mayo, lettuce and a tomato. The egg, applewood bacon and cheddar combined with the tasty juicy burger is simply delicious. This is one of the best burgers I've ever had. The bun was solid, the meat was cooked to medium rare as requested and it held together as I ate it. I have no complaints with their burgers, except that I want to eat them all the time.

Besides The Brunch Burger they have a plethora of very interesting other burger options like:

Caprese Burger - fresh melted mozzarella, heirloom tomato, baby mixed greens and drizzle of balsamic reduction.

Bombay Burger - coconut curry sauce, mango chutney, lettuce and tomato.

Italian Burger - mushrooms, marinara sauce, mozzarella, lettuce and tomato.

And for all you sissies or sucky people that don't eat meat, they also offer a Namaste "Veggie" Burger which is made with grains, legumes and vegetables. As well as the Gobbler a thick hand formed turkey burger and the Salmon Club, a grilled hand formed salmon patty burger.

If you really wanna try something different when it comes to burgers, 26 Beach Cafe does something with a burger I've never seen before and it's gotta be the oddest burger on the menu, the P B & J. It is exactly what it sounds like, creamy Skippy's peanut butter & Knott's Berry strawberry jam on top of the Angus Patty. This isn't really my style of a burger, but hell they do a great burger so if you like burgers and P B & J, I bet you'd love it....well maybe...

One of my favorite breakfast spots in all of LA!. This is one of my favorite breakfast spots in all of LA! Whether I have a simple fruit/yogurt parfait, or go for a delicious french toast or egg/noodle combo... it's all a stand out! Great drinks and service and would recommend to anyone!

Great food. The setting here is very nice! Very quaint. The turkey burger is one of the best I've had. Definitely recommend this place for brunch, but make sure you have reservations.

26 Beach. The first time I cam here was for Mother's Day and it was honestly one of the best brunches I've ever been to. Despite the wait, I occupied myself with the best champagne and peach nectar juice. I highly suggest this place and the decor is really cute!

first timer. Had Father's day Breakfast here. First time here and had a good time! Service was alright by server, but buser was great! Food took a while, but, they were busy. Had Spicy Pork Chop and Eggs. Chop was moist, blk. beans good and eggs done correctly. Great buzz in resturant and would go back! Menu was creative and different enough to want us to come back,

Hidden Venice Gem. Venice is a great neighborhood for eclectic food places and trendy eateries which is why 26 Beach stands out: it is neither. It's just a great little place that is often overlooked because it fronts onto Washington and parking can be dicey on occasion. My boyfriend and I have been coming here for dinner for the last few years when we're just craving a nice dinner and a good bottle of wine and don't want to go to the trouble ourselves. I think combined we've probably had almost everything on the menu. Some favorites are the fresh fruit salad which, especially in the summer, is a great substitute for dessert. I'm a big fan of the meatloaf - it's just to my liking without all those annoying veggies taking up valuable meat space. And the garlic mashed potatoes that come with it are reason enough to eat here. The chocolate cake and apple crisp are always amazing and we usually get one or the other even if we're completely full and can't eat another bite. We've also never had a problem with the service and have been seated promptly with a reservation on the weekends and without on weeknights.

Horrible Overpriced Breakfast. We went for breakfast and it was really disappointing. My friend ordered the Huevos Rancheros....it was actually only one egg with a small sponnful of beans on the side. He had to ask for tortillas. I ordered a breakfast sandwhich which was served with french fries. The sandwich was bland and french fries for breakfast was just too greasy for me. The waiter was not very friendly or attentive even though they weren't busy at all. The bill was over $30 for a two bad breakfast meals. I won't be going back.
