Rudest bartender ever.
What a terrible experience. While looking at the menu to order a pricey dinner, I placed my full coffee on the counter, from an outside coffee shop. He picked it up as if he was cleaning and put it behind the bar as I told him it belonged to me. He told me "This is not a playground" in the most snide tone I've ever heard. I thought he was joking.
He threw it away.
I'm an adult, and wasn't behaving as if I was in a playground.

strange vibe.
We were greeted effusively in French, but our order seemed to meet with disapproval, for some reason - not enough? who knows...the food was adequate but unremarkable. I've had better Moroccan food in a far more relaxed environment. Would not return.

Moroccan experience.
Although I'm not a moroccan, cafe momo do deliver something very special to the locals of LA. The food is quite good. But the best part of all is the atomsphere and their friendly service. Best of all, they offer free belly dancing which actually make the food taste better than before the performance. If you want something special, this is definitely one of the place that you don't want to miss out!

Don't be fooled.
The ambience was warm and comfortable, with Morrocan throw pillows and an exotic feel... however, I might mention that this was at Koutoubia, when I had made the reservation at Cafe Momo. Koutoubia is much spendier ($80 for 1 salad, 2 entrees, 2 drinks). Since the restaurants are joined, the picture you see as Cafe Momo, may not be where you are dining... don't be deceived!
