great dine in bad take out

the beans for take out take on the metal taste and have hard dry edges.seems like they prefill the beans and rice just needing to add the entree'. also entree' portions seem smaller with take out.

the salsa with the chips is not very spicy,almost like canned tomatoes.

on my last visit the food seemed over salted.

over all I like it,but the spouce is not happy with it now. don't call in your take out -go and order there it makes a difference. and check to see you get tortillas etc,

• Pros: food is very hot you have to wait for it to cool a bit.
• Cons: take home is in alum pans like deep tv dinners,

heaven!

Simply the best Mexican restaurant around! Their homemade salsa is perfect, plenty of flavor, and a nice kick! Their homemade chips are perfect.

However, these only accompany some of the best meals you will find anywhere. All of their dishes are wonderful, as shown by the huge crowds that are present virtually any time they are open. I have heard people talking in line, who have driven over an hour just to get the "fix". It is well worth the trip.

They will soon be moving into a new, much larger building, just a couple of blocks north of their present location. This promises to have a more elegant setting than their present, which is very informal.

• Pros: great food, great salsa, great value
• Cons: crowds, long lines

Overall good food

We frequent this place often. During the holidays we buy our masa here for tamales. For parties we order several pounds of chips, cheese, salsa & the chunky gucamole, they also sell tortillas and containers of fresh cooked refried beans & rice. The mole & relleno sauce is wonderful to buy and use on some of your home style dishes. We prefer the taquitos with chunky gucamole. the carne asada plate. The large tostadas and the wet burritos and of course the delicious fresh chips & salsa. The place is more fast food style, almost everyone that works there is family. Self seating. The place & the parking lot gets crowded.

Good Food!Come Here

Well since i have been eating at La Tolteca I found that the salsa is great! The food is also very good, but the place is not that nice, its like a fast food, so its best if you go with people that you already know. But if you havent gone before i would definetly recommend you go and give it a try.
