Average Dinning, Overcharged Bill, No Apology. My Wife and I just had dinner for two at Tutti Mangia Italian Grill. The food was average but overpriced. We ordered two bottles of wine. The first with "Spec." 91 rating turned up to be screw top ($55). We did not like the wine, but did not want to make trouble, so we decided to take it home and try another. The second bottle was Ok ($48). We did not check the bill, since we did not have a complicated order. The amount was a bit two high, but we did not question it. When we got home we noted that the bill had two extra items, which we could not explain. We called to inquire what they were. They happened to be two drinks, totaling $23. We already had two wine bottles, totaling $103 for two people on our tab. We stated over the phone that we had not ordered any additional drinks, and we were finally told that we will be credited for the $23 dollars. We did not get an apology for the mistake. We had left a very generous tip based on the erroneous total, which we now regret. On top of all that they did not have Cannolis on the desert menu.

OMG!! the Happy Hour. So I have found a new place to hang my hat on Mon-Thurs... no I do not frequent this place Mon-Thurs but if I chose to I could .

There is a bartendress there by the name of "Lisa" who is THE BOMB her drinks are strong and her company is AWESOME!!! I found her last Monday 8/13.

So I found myself walking with a friend of mine into downtown cozy Claremont to which we came upon "Tutti's" we saddled up to the bar where it is Martini Mondays and proceeded to have ourselves one helluva good time. Lisa acknowledged every person by name as they walked through the doors and I noticed that nearly everyone came in looking forward to hanging out and sitting down. Well I returned on Tuesday Wine Tasting Tuesday this time I went by myself and it was just as fun and the food here is excellent!

Lisa is a pop-culture guru and from time to time you will find the regulars challenging her to some sort of music or movie trivia... I have since returned with a variety of friends to which ALL of them were so impressed with both the food and the bar service.

In short if you are looking for a place to grab a delicious bite to eat, nice drink and silly fun conversations I say check out "Tutti's" in Claremont Monday - Thursday where Lisa will take care of you and you are guaranteed not to be bored

Good food, not always prompt or friendly service. I go to college in Claremont and my friends and I like to eat here a few times a semester. The food is great, but there have been several instances in which we were given poor service. We have had to wait for up to 30 minutes past our reservation time for a table, have been asked to move tables to accomodate another party, have been neglected by waiters, and have been asked to finish up to make room for other parties. We attribute these instances to being young students, but it could just be that the restaurant is smaller and often crowded. Even so, I would suggest bringing along parents if you are a student.

Wonderful value. Located in the Claremont Village, it is great to dine there and then walk around to all the shops if it is early enough. The interior is nice and the service is good and though I cannot say it is of the highest level of luxury, it rises to the level of a restaurant good for a special occasion. In all, it is a good value and is a comfortable place to go for fine dining over and over again. The pasta tastes fine and light and is not heavy and greasy like that of the chain Italian places. They have a good wine selection and can accommodate larger parties but reservations are recommended. The desserts are wonderful too of course.
