In Short – Known to San Gabrielenos as the restaurant with the snow covered rooftop, North Woods Inn assures their diner's satisfaction with "Lumberjack" sized portions and the charming atmosphere of an old cabin. Their homely, rustic decor aside, this blast from the past restaurant still offers a wide range of contemporary steakhouse favorites, like the famous over-stuffed baked potato and sourdough cheesebread. Those who don't indulge in cuts of beef can relax, North Woods also offers a wide variety of sandwiches and seafood.

Clearman's North Wood's Inn has been a favorite place of mine, my family, and my friends for a lot of years now. I've gone to this location about 12 times so far this year and each time I've come away more than satisfied with the food, service, atmosphere, and prices. To start off you get their signature salads, a green salad with a house blue cheese and a red cabbage salad with vinegar and oil along with some fresh sourdough cheesebread. The salads and bread are all you can eat. The steaks and seafood are excellent. The sides of a huge potato with cheese butter and a very good rice pilaf compliment each meal perfectly. If you still have room they have chocolate rum sundaes for dessert. They have a full bar and a good wine list and plenty of tap or bottled beers to choose from. The atmosphere is not very private but its still a great place to take a date. Clearman's is one of the best steakhouses in the area and this location in Covina is probably the better of the 3 North Woods I have been to. (The other two being in San Gabriel and La Mirada.) When you go, tell the wait staff in secret about your date's birthday and they'll get a song and a surprise. Highly Recommended.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE PLACE IN THE WHOLE WORLD, AND THERE'S A FEW THOUSAND FRIENDS OF MINE THAT WOULD AGREE. REALLY COLD BEER, STRONG DRINKS, PEANUT SHELLS ON THE FLOOR.
SNOW ON THE ROOF, CLASSIC NUDES ON THE WALLS, THIS IS OLD SCHOOL STEAK HOUSE AT IT'S BEST! WAITERS THAT KNOW THEIR STUFF!! KILLER MENU WITH GREAT STEAKS, THE BEST CHEESE BREAD........ANYWHERE!! GIANT BAKED POTATOES WITH THEIR FAMOUS CHEESE BUTTER!!
ALL YOU CAN EAT BLUE CHEESE SALAD, RED CABBAGE AND CHEESE BREAD. KILLER LOBSTER TOO!! TRY THE LOBSTER STUFFING, IT'S GREAT!! GREAT FOR FAMILIES, ALL EVENTS, PARTIES LARGE OR SMALL, JUST O REALLY GREAT PLACE TO DINE!! AND WORTH EVERY PENNY!! IF SOMEONE SAYS LAST MEAL............I ALWAYS SAY.......NORTHWOODS!!
