CHICKEN PESTO SANDWICH
by hollywoodlocal
This place has changed my life. Chicken pesto sandwich is my new "default" meal when I can't think of anyone else. Consistently fast delivery, fair prices on groceries and household items
- Pros: Sandwiches are amazing, deliver till midnight!
- Cons: wish they had hot sandwiches too and more ready to eat food selections
They delivered the food and delivered the goods

I normally use Yummy to order sandwiches for delivery due to the limited lunch options near my work. Their sandwiches are decent with the chicken pesto being my personal favorite. The fact that they deliver really came in handy the one weekend I had to work and no other place was delivering for lunch on a Sunday. I will say that they put too much onion on their corn salad.
- Pros: They deliver
DELIVERY MAN SHOUTED AT ME
by heg203
I just had an incredibly unhappy experience with Yummy I have just moved to LA from New York, and I?m used to ordering groceries online, so I thought I would try their service. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of using a card that I don?t have with me ?in person,? so to speak. When the delivery man arrived, he said he needed an imprint of the card, and I told him I don?t have the card with me ? it?s in New York, with my boyfriend. I asked him if he could call his manager and ask if anything could be done, and I received flat unwillingness to help. He said that it?s the company policy and there?s no use asking. He then said I could pay in a combo of cash and my debit card (I didn?t want to use the debit at all because I?m waiting for a few big checks to clear, but was willing to put $50 or so on it) then he called his manager and was told that this solution wasn?t possible.
I asked him repeatedly while he was on the phone if he could explain what happened, and he ignored me. Then I asked if I could get on the phone myself and explain what happened, and he hung up, turned to me and said, ?There?s no one there. Why don?t you call, if you want to talk to them.? I was getting really frustrated by this time, and it showed in my voice. At this point he started to YELL at me, in my own home. I am a young woman living alone and the experience of having a strange man in my apartment screaming at me was frightening and extremely unnerving. I told him he was being incredibly unprofessional, which quieted him down. He then took the groceries and left. I couldn?t lock the door behind him fast enough.
